  4.     What is PacShell?
  5.     -----------------
  6.     PacShell is a tool, that makes it much easier to handle archives
  7.     in different formats and aims to standardize it's usage.
  8.     At this time, archives of the formats Arj, Arc, Diffy, Lha, Lzx,
  9.     Rar, Tar, Zip an Zoo are supported.
  10.     PacShell can read this archives by it's own and displays the
  11.     contents in a window. So you can select files with the mouse to
  12.     extract or add them from/to an archive.

  14.     Installation
  15.     ------------
  16.     To install PacShell, you only need to copy or extract everything
  17.     to a single directory. PacShell does not need Assigns or special
  18.     libraries.
  19.     After starting PacShell the first time, you must probably change
  20.     the pathes of the archivers, which are configured to c: by default.
  21.     For this, the easiest way is to press F6, when PacShell has
  22.     started. The Configuration dialog appears and there you can edit
  23.     the pathes. When ready, select the Save-Button and from now on the
  24.     changes are available.
  25.     If you want to use the English documentation within PacShell
  26.     (Help Button), you must copy it to the PacShell directory, because
  27.     it has the same name as the German documentation.

  29.     Diffy
  30.     -----
  31.     I decided, to supply Diffy to this package, because it is
  32.     supported by PacShell and it is one of my programs. Probably I
  33.     will release updates of PachShell as a Patch and then you already
  34.     have the tool you need to patch PacShell.

  36.     Documentation
  37.     -------------
  38.     Now the English documentation, for PacShell and for Diffy, is
  39.     complete and can be found in the directory 'English Doc'.

  41.     Shareware
  42.     ---------
  43.     PacShell is Shareware and when you regularly use it you must
  44.     register. The registration fee is 30 DM or 25 US$.
