- Installation - Hard Drive
- =========================

- DiskMAGIC does not copy any files to your system directories. DiskMAGIC does
- however require a few additions to the user-startup. These are a mixture of
- environment variables and assigns. If you installed DiskMAGIC into the
- location WORK:DiskMAGIC, the entries in the user-startup would be:

- IF EXIST WORK:DiskMAGIC/DiskMAGIC
- SETENV MTPATH=WORK:DiskMAGIC
- ENDIF
- IF EXISTS WORK:DiskMAGIC/C/LHA
- ASSIGN C: WORK:DiskMAGIC/C ADD
- ENDIF

- If you move DiskMAGIC from one location on your hard disk to another then
- you will stop various parts of the program from functioning. If you are not
- happy with the installed directory then simply re-install into a new
- location.

- Installation - Floppy Drive
- ===========================

- DiskMAGIC will work fine on a one disk Amiga, however, to prevent excessive
- disk swaps we would recommend a second disk drive.

- Documentation & ARexx files
- ===================================

- The documentation & ARexx files have been compressed into lha
- archives to save space. The files can be found in the archives drawer on the
- master disk or installation directory.

- Problems with Archives
- ======================

- If you are running DiskMAGIC from floppy, and your boot disk does not
- contain the necessary files to support ARexx, you may need to select the LHA
- Setup button from gadget Bank 1. This will add some system assigns to enable
- LHA support.

- Configure.rexx
- ==============

- The file Configure.rexx will enable archive support if the Lha program cannot be
- found. The ARexx script will also add lines to your user-startup to permanently
- enable archive handling.
