  11. This tool is © Nicolas FRANCK, also known as Gryzor, the maaad converter :-)

  13. This is FREEWARE, thus freely redistributable, as long as this little
  14. "readme" file stays with the main program, all this in the LHA archive !

  16. Of course, PD associations like Fred Fish, CAM, DPAT... are allowed to
  17. include IFR in their librairies !

  20.             I.F.R. works fine under all KickStarts and Amiga !

  25. DESCRIPTION :

  28. IFR was made to find back any IFF-structured file in any file !
  29. This was asked to me by some friends of mine,
  30. so I took Pro-Wizard source-code, modified it (a lot), and made this IFR !
  31.  
  32. Thus, it's based on Pro-Wizard convert & scan routines, i.e you can select
  33. more than one file into the Loading Requester, then a Destination Directory
  34. will be required, and all scanning operations will be done automatically.

  36. The actual IFF structures recognized are :
  37.  
  38. 1. ILBM            ; Usual IFF pictures
  39. 2. 8SVX            ; Sample sounds
  40. 3. ANIM            ; Animations
  41. 4. SMUS            ; Sonix files
  42. 5. WORD            ; Text files (?? rare...)

  44. It was tested with success on "Les Hérétiques-Nécrologie", a greeaaatt demo
  45. from some good friends :-))
  46.                        IFR found 3 IFF-8SVX and 8 IFF-ANIM in this demo...

  49. Note for beginners : Don't expect IFR to find the graphics of your favorite
  50.                      demos ! As, usually in these demos, the gfx are under
  51.                      bitmap form... not in IFF.

  56. HOW TO USE IT :

  59. Well, as in the first versions of Pro-Wizard, when run (from WB or CLI)
  60. the main window will appear on your workbench, and you'll have the choice
  61. between 3 gadgets : SCAN - Scan some files...
  62.                     DOCS - Some documentation windows...
  63.                     QUIT - Bye Bye !

  65. During scanning, a little window "Working on your files" appears on screen,
  66. you may CLOSE it (with the appropriate gadget) then, IFR will abort his
  67. work...
  68. If you've selected more than one file, at the end of processing, there will
  69. be a Statistics Window, same as in Pro-Wizard-2, with all files IFR has
  70. recognized, or the number of Unknown Formats.

  73.      The appropriate file_extensions will be added to the saved files
  74.                         (".8SVX", ".ANIM", etc...)

  77.         IFR needs the REQTOOLS.LIBRARY and the XPKMASTER.LIBRARY !
  78.  They are not included, but who hasn't got these fabulous libs yet ?? :-)

  103.              Now, IFR tries to find the real name of the IFF-Files,
  104.              especially in 8SVX samples...
