  1. EDIT POINTS TOOL: edit an object as a path
  2. -----------------------------------------------------------

  4. - Select an object with the Object tool.
  5. - Choose the Edit Points tool. You can now edit the object
  6.   as a path instead of as an object. Its size handles will
  7.   be replaced by point and curve handles. You can add,
  8.   delete, move, join, split and align points. You can also
  9.   convert lines to curves and curves to lines.
  10. - Press and hold Shift and Alt, then click on another
  11.   object's path to switch objects.
  12. - Press Esc or choose the Object tool to return to object
  13.   mode.

  15. Notes:

  17. - Only one object can be edited at a time.
  18. - Press Shift to select multiple points.
  19. - Press 'v' to align selected points along a vertical line.
  20. - Press 'h' to align selected points along a horizontal
  21.   line.
  22. - Press 'b' to align selected points along both axes.

  24. Edit Point Coordinates:

  26. - Select a point.
  27. - Hold down Shift and click on the Edit Points tool to open
  28.   the Edit Point requester. Change the coordinates of the
  29.   point, its curve handles (if applicable) and the previous
  30.   point.

  32. JOIN POINTS TOOL

  35. - Select two endpoints.
  36. - Choose the Join Points tool. The mouseform will change to
  37.   full-screen crosshairs. Position the mouse and click to
  38.   join the points.

  40. SPLIT POINTS TOOL

  43. - Select a point.
  44. - Choose the Split Points tool. Two endpoints will be
  45.   formed.

  47. DELETE POINTS TOOL

  50. - Select a point(s).
  51. - Choose the Delete Points tool. The point will be removed
  52.   from the path.

  54. ADDING A POINT

  57. - Press and hold Alt.
  58. - Click anywhere on a line or curve segment. A new path
  59.   point will be added.

  61. LINE TO CURVE TOOL

  64. - Select a line segment(s).
  65. - Choose the Line to Curve tool. Curve handles will appear
  66.   for the segment.

  68. CURVE TO LINE TOOL

  71. - Select a curve segment(s).
  72. - Choose the Curve to Line tool. The segment's curve
  73.   handles will disappear.
