  1. OBJECT TOOL: pointer selection tool

  4. - This tool allows you to select objects. Once selected, an
  5.   object can be moved, resized or modified with various
  6.   menu commands. Use the Edit Points tool to change the
  7.   shape of an object.
  8. - To select an unfilled object, click on its path (line and
  9.   curve segments.)
  10. - To select a filled object, click anywhere on its filled
  11.   area.

  13. Constraints and Options:

  15. - Hold down Shift while selecting to select multiple
  16.   objects. Shift click on a selected object to unselect it.
  17. - Hold down Ctrl while selecting to select the bottom
  18.   object in a stack.
  19. - Draw a marquée box with the pointer to select all the
  20.   objects in an area.
  21. - Press the Space Bar to deselect all the objects in an
  22.   illustration.
  23. - Drag on an object's path to move an object.
  24. - Drag size handles to resize an object.
  25. - Hold down Alt while resizing to maintain the original
  26.   aspect ratio while scaling.
