  18.                         Obtaining Technical Support

  20. Before  calling  technical support, please check your ADPro User Manual for
  21. the answer to your question.  The manual should be your first reference for
  22. answers.   If you cannot find the answer in the manual, then call technical
  23. support.

  25. Whenever  you  call us for technical support, please have your ADPro serial
  26. number  and  version  number  handy.   This information is found in ADPro's
  27. About  panel,  displayed  by  selecting "About..." from the "Project" menu.
  28. Having  this  information  available  when you call will allow us to better
  29. serve you.

  43. Copyrights  covering  ADPro are registered with the United States Copyright
  44. Office.   This  provides  ASDG  with additional leverage in enforcing legal
  45. action  against  unauthorized  duplication or distribution of ADPro.  These
  46. rights extend directly to MorphPlus as well.

  48. Be  aware  that  ASDG considers prosecution of copyright infringers part of
  49. its  obligation  of  providing  a quality product and service to its paying
  50. customers.

  53.                         Usage of Distribution Disks
  54.  
  55. Included  in  the  ADPro  package  are  six  (6)  distribution  disks.  The
  56. following lists these disks and their intended use:

  67. Before you execute the Install-ADPro installation script, please be sure to
  68. have all of these disks available.  If you are missing one or more of these
  69. disks, please contact our Technical Support department; the phone number is
  70. listed in the Troubleshooting Appendix of the User Manual.

  73.              Last-Minute Features, Changes, and Clarifications
  74.  
  75. Please  read  the  release notes for the last-minute changes to the program
  76. and documentation.
  77.  
  78. To  display  them  from  within  ADPro,  select "Release Notes..." from the
  79. "Project"  menu.   This  will display the release notes (ADPro.notes in the
  80. ADPRO:   assigned  directory)  either  with  the  More  program (if running
  81. AmigaOS  2.04 or 2.1) or with MultiView (if running AmigaOS 3.0 or higher).
  82. An  attempt will be made to open this file on the same screen as ADPro.  If
  83. it  can't,  it'll  open on the default public screen.  If this is the case,
  84. then you will have to flip back to the screen ADPro is on after exiting the
  85. file viewer.

  87. You  do not need to close the text viewing program to continue working with
  88. ADPro--you can leave the release notes up.

  91.                     Special Notes for MorphPlus Owners
  92.  
  93. Although  ADPro  is  a  stand-alone product, all of its modules can be used
  94. directly  from MorphPlus (if you currently own it).  Note that you have the
  95. option  of  specifying a location for the ADPro program, different from the
  96. MorphPlus  program.  If ADPro is not installed in the same directory as the
  97. MorphPlus  program,  then the modules that come with the ADPro package will
  98. be  separate  from  the modules that came with the MorphPlus package.  What
  99. this  means  is that you will not be able to use the MorphPlus modules from
  100. the  ADPro  user  interface,  and  vice versa, not be able to use the ADPro
  101. modules  from  the  MorphPlus user interface.  We highly suggest you choose
  102. the same directory for both programs.

  104. NOTE:   If  you  are  a MorphPlus user who has NOT registered your software
  105. with  us,  you  should  contact  us  (the  phone  number  is  listed in the
  106. Troubleshooting  Appendix  of  the  ADPro  User  Manual or in the Technical
  107. Support section of your MorphPlus User Manual) to register and upgrade your
  108. software to a newer version.

  110. Also,  if  you  have  both MorphPlus and ADPro and have been upgrading both
  111. packages  and  installing them in the same directory, you should follow the
  112. sequence  of  installation instructions to guarantee that your programs and
  113. modules are the most up-to-date:

  126.                  Special Notes for Deluxe Paint AGA Owners

  128. If  you own Deluxe Paint AGA (version 4.5) and have selected to install the
  129. DPAINT loader and saver modules, then you must patch your version of Deluxe
  130. Paint  AGA  to  at  least version 4.6.  There are patches on Patch Disk Two
  131. (ADPro_D5)  for  North  American,  English,  German, and French versions of
  132. DPaint   AGA   version   4.5.   Electronic  Arts  has  graciously  provided
  133. installation  scripts for your convenience.  Please consult the ReadMe file
  134. on Patch Disk Two for more information.

  136. NOTE:   ADPro  2.5.0  will  be  the  last  version  of ADPro to include the
  137. necessary  patches  for  DPaint AGA version 4.5.  After this version, these
  138. patches  will have to be obtained by other means.  We feel that version 4.6
  139. and later should be readily available in the future, hence a lower need for
  140. patches to be included with future versions of ADPro.

  143.                  Special Notes for Expansion Module Owners

  145. If  you  own  the  Sharp  JXScan  (JX-300/JX-320/JX-450/JX-600)  Loader for
  146. ADPro/MorphPlus, please be sure to contact us for upgrade information.  Our
  147. phone number is listed in the manual.

  149. We have added the ability to display the Preview Screen image in 256 shades
  150. of  gray  when running the software on an AGA-equipped machine, such as the
  151. A4000.
  152.  
  153. Although we provide the patches for the EPSON scanner module with the ADPro
  154. package, the patches for the Sharp scanner module are available separately.
