- Revised Technical Support Hours
-
- Please note that Technical Support is available Monday through Friday
- (except holidays), 10 A.M to 5 P.M. Central Time. On Fridays, Technical
- Support is unavailable from 1 PM to 2 PM Central Time.

- to display both the release version of ADPro as well as the serial number.

- New Features
-
- Starting ADPro
- --------------
- By default, ADPro will attempt to release all memory that can be freed
- (such as unused system libraries, fonts, and devices) before attempting to
- reserve memory for its image buffer. Using a special tool type
- (NOFLUSHMEM) or Shell option (NOFLUSHMEM or NF), you can turn this feature
- off. We have done it this way so as to make it an effort to turn this
- feature, which is best left on, off.
-
-
- PREFPRINTER Saver
- -----------------
- In addition to the "Starting Page:" control, you can also specify an
- "Ending Page:" to print. The "Ending Page:" number will always be greater
- than or equal to the "Starting Page:" number.

- Troubleshooting
-
- Problem:
- When I try to load an IFF image off of my hard drive, I get the
- message, "Error in body".
-
- Cause:
- The MaxTransfer value for your hard drive needs to be changed.
-
- Solution:
- Change MaxTransfer to 0xFFFF (4 Fs).
-
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- Problem:
- When running a pseudo operator (_Emboss, _Fresco, etc.), I get a
- message saying, "ARexx Error: Error Code = 13".
-
- Cause:
- You either have the Video Toaster software running or you tried to
- execute the _VT_Grab pseudo loader or _VT_Display pseudo saver when
- you either didn't have the Switcher running or you don't have a
- Toaster system installed. What is happening is that when the
- pseudo operator tries to call an external function (the CALL
- command), the ToasterARexx.port tries to interpret that function
- (which it doesn't know about) but exits with an error before trying
- to call the actual script that contains the function (in the
- FREDSCRIPTS:FREDFunctions directory).
-
- Solution:
- Although you can reboot your machine to solve the problem, you can
- also type the following from a Shell to remove the
- ToasterARexx.port:
-
- rx "remlib( 'ToasterARexx.port' )"
-
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- Problem:
- I cannot make stamps for my images in FRED.
-
- Cause:
- The render screen in ADPro is probably selected to a high or true
- color mode and the screen mode or depth is locked. FRED cannot
- change this value to the mode and depth required for stamps.
-
- Solution:
- Unlock the screen mode and depth by unchecking the "Locked Screen
- Mode" and "Lock Depth" menu items under ADPro's "Settings" menu.
