  17.                         Obtaining Technical Support

  19. Before  calling  technical support, please check your ADPro User Manual for
  20. the answer to your question.  The manual should be your first reference for
  21. answers.   If you cannot find the answer in the manual, then call technical
  22. support.

  24. Whenever  you  call us for technical support, please have your ADPro serial
  25. number  and  version  number  handy.   This information is found in ADPro's
  26. About  panel,  displayed  by  selecting "About..." from the "Project" menu.
  27. Having  this  information  available  when you call will allow us to better
  28. serve you.

  42. Copyrights  covering  ADPro are registered with the United States Copyright
  43. Office.   This  provides  ASDG  with additional leverage in enforcing legal
  44. action  against  unauthorized  duplication or distribution of ADPro.  These
  45. rights extend directly to MorphPlus as well.

  47. Be  aware  that  ASDG considers prosecution of copyright infringers part of
  48. its  obligation  of  providing  a quality product and service to its paying
  49. customers.

  52.                         Usage of Distribution Disks
  53.  
  54. Included  in  the  ADPro  package  are  four  (4)  distribution  disks.  The
  55. following lists these disks and their intended use:

  64. Before you execute the Install-ADPro installation script, please be sure to
  65. have all of these disks available.  If you are missing one or more of these
  66. disks, please contact our Technical Support department; the phone number is
  67. listed in the Troubleshooting Appendix of the User Manual.

  70.              Last-Minute Features, Changes, and Clarifications
  71.  
  72. Please  read  the  release notes for the last-minute changes to the program
  73. and documentation.
  74.  
  75. To  display  them  from  within  ADPro,  select "Release Notes..." from the
  76. "Project"  menu.   This  will display the release notes (ADPro.notes in the
  77. ADPRO:   assigned  directory)  either  with  the  More  program (if running
  78. AmigaOS  2.04 or 2.1) or with MultiView (if running AmigaOS 3.0 or higher).
  79. An  attempt will be made to open this file on the same screen as ADPro.  If
  80. it  can't,  it'll  open on the default public screen.  If this is the case,
  81. then you will have to flip back to the screen ADPro is on after exiting the
  82. file viewer.

  84. You  do not need to close the text viewing program to continue working with
  85. ADPro--you can leave the release notes up.

  88.                     Special Notes for MorphPlus Owners
  89.  
  90. Although  ADPro  is  a  stand-alone product, all of its modules can be used
  91. directly  from MorphPlus (if you currently own it).  Note that you have the
  92. option  of  specifying a location for the ADPro program, different from the
  93. MorphPlus  program.  If ADPro is not installed in the same directory as the
  94. MorphPlus  program,  then the modules that come with the ADPro package will
  95. be  separate  from  the modules that came with the MorphPlus package.  What
  96. this  means  is that you will not be able to use the MorphPlus modules from
  97. the  ADPro  user  interface,  and  vice versa, not be able to use the ADPro
  98. modules  from  the  MorphPlus user interface.  We highly suggest you choose
  99. the same directory for both programs.

  101. NOTE:   If  you  are  a MorphPlus user who has NOT registered your software
  102. with  us,  you  should  contact  us  (the  phone  number  is  listed in the
  103. Troubleshooting  Appendix  of  the  ADPro  User  Manual or in the Technical
  104. Support section of your MorphPlus User Manual) to register and upgrade your
  105. software to a newer version.

  107. Also,  if  you  have  both MorphPlus and ADPro and have been upgrading both
  108. packages  and  installing them in the same directory, you should follow the
  109. sequence  of  installation instructions to guarantee that your programs and
  110. modules are the most up-to-date:

  125. If  you  own  the  Sharp  JXScan  (JX-300/JX-320/JX-450/JX-600)  Loader for
  126. ADPro/MorphPlus, please be sure to contact us for upgrade information.  Our
  127. phone number is listed in the manual.

  129. We have added the ability to display the Preview Screen image in 256 shades
  130. of  gray  when running the software on an AGA-equipped machine, such as the
  131. A4000.

  133. Although we provide the patches for the EPSON scanner module with the ADPro
  134. package, the patches for the Sharp scanner module are available separately.
