  8. It all began almost an year ago, when for the first time I needed to  send
  9. a  fax...  "Well",  I  said,  "I've  got  a  fax modem, I can send it from
  10. home...".
  11.  
  12. Unfortunately I had no fax software: the ones provided with the modem were
  13. just for MS-Dos and Windows, as usual.

  15. So I started looking around for fax programs for my Amiga: there were only
  16. two  commercial packages, but as I'm almost always out-of-money, I thought
  17. it was a good idea to look in the shareware before.

  19. I did, but with no luck: I just saw a couple of programs, one  worst  than
  20. the other.

  22. Thus, I sat down and began to type...

  24. I tried to put in STFax all the functions I thought I would need, like:

  26.     - Support for all the faxmodem classes (1, 2, 2.0)
  27.     - Nice, handy user interface
  28.     - Phonebook
  29.     - Scheduler
  30.     - Reports
  31.     - ARexx port
  32.     - Datatypes support for image conversion
  33.     - On-line help
  34.     - Printer driver to redirect all print-outs to a fax file

  43.                         - New argument and ToolType: SPARESERIAL.
