- If you have the EMPLANT software installed, you MUST remove these lines
- from the s:startup-sequence file:
-
- ;EMPLANT Begin
- assign t: ram:t
- execute >NIL: SetupEMPLANT
- ;EMPLANT End
-
- Also, delete the 'SetupEMPLANT' file in the s: directory as it is no
- longer needed.
-
- FUSION does not use RsrvMem. It uses a program called, 'RsrvWarm'.
- This program IS compatible with EMPLANT, so you will not lose
- backwards compatibility.

- With System 7.6.0 and later, Apple has discontinued support for 256K
- ROMs. In order to use System 7.6.0 or 7.6.1, you will need either
- 512K or 1meg ROMs.
-
- With System 8.0 and later, Apple has discontinued support for 512K
- ROMs. In order to use System 8.0 and later, you will need to use
- 1meg ROMs. With FUSION, you can use System 8.0 with an 030, even
- though Apple states that it works only with 040 and PowerPC machines.
-
-
-
- You MUST be using the GENERIC system software upgrade. You can NOT
- use system disks included with a real MAC (these disks only have
- resources necessary for the machine it is shipped with!)
-
-
-
- If you get a message about the ROM ID WORD being incorrect, turn off
- the MMU in the MEMORY menu. You have a hardware problem with you Amiga.
- Generally, the problem is the hard drive controller, but also may
- be the MMU itself. Make sure that you are not using an 'EC' processor
- (680EC030 or 680EC040) as neither of this processors come with an
- MMU built in.
-
- If you had a Retina board at one time, and it is no longer installed,
- remove the 'retina.library' from your LIBS: directory. If you don't,
- you will get a recoverable alert everytime the video drivers are
- checked. There is no problem with this, it is just annoying.
