  12. This is the full version of EGS-TV V3.6d, the shareware video software for
  13. EGS graphic boards. To use this as full version you need a keyfile, which
  14. can only be obtained by registering directly by me. Without keyfile
  15. EGS-TV has some restrictions.

  17. What does EGS-TV offer?
  18. -----------------------
  19.  
  20. EGS-TV is a pure EGS program. It offers high/true-color sequence editing
  21. and animation generation for random access sequences on your harddisk
  22. (Professional version only). It can apply amazing trick technics as the
  23. Blue Screen Keying to your pictures and sequences/animations. Did you ever
  24. want to edit an 80MByte animation and delete a frame out of the middle?
  25. No problem with EGS-TV-Professional...

  27. All this is done through a font sensitive EGS user interface which runs
  28. on your biggest screens in 24Bit color quality...
  29.  
  30. * Picture import from many programs (ImageFX, PicoPainter, SpectraPaint)

  32. * Picture loading functions (IFF-ILBM24,GIF,JPeg,PPM-P6,QRT,Targa24,EGSIcon);
  33.   pictures can be integrated or combined with sequences...; automatic
  34.   scaling is available to integrate large pictures in animations/sequences

  68. * Amiga-OS 2.04 or higher
  69.   (OS3.0 or higher is recommended for harddisk recording)

  71. * EGS-System version 6.0 or higher
  72.   EGS System 7.x users can find a window iconification icon in the
  73.   archive (subdirectory EGS-Icons). This can be copied to EGS:EGS-Icons
  74.   and will then be used as iconification icon instead of the default
  75.   icon for all EGS-TV windows.

  77. * Much memory (6MByte Fast-RAM are recommended)

  79. Video hardware support
  80. ----------------------
  81.  
  82. * VLab-Framegrabber (classical and Y/C; also as Parallelport versions;
  83.                the VLab-Motion can not be supported as MacroSystem is
  84.              not willing to provide documentation for programmers)

  86. * IV24 as Framegrabber

  88. * Cameron/Reisware handy scanner (no real Video hardware, but they
  89.   can be used as frame source for greyscale pictures as well)

  93. EGS-TV can also be used without a framegrabber as stand alone video program
  94. (animation/sequence generation) by import and load functions.

  96. Registering
  97. -----------
  98.  
  99. The registration fee for EGS-TV Professional is currently 30US$ for users
  100. outside of europe and 40DM for users in europe (see registration form for
  101. other possible currencies). Alternatively you can still register the clas-
  102. sical version of EGS-TV (20US$ or 25DM) (see documentation for differences).
  103.  
  104. English and german versions available. An extensive documentation (more
  105. than 100kByte) is included in Amiga-Guide format.
  106.  
  107. Free updates are normally available due to the keyfile concept.
  108.  
  109. A registrationform is included in the archiv (please print it with 12CPI
  110. and a left margin of 10).
  111.  
  112. Separate player program
  113. -----------------------
  114.  
  115. A separate player program for EGS-TV sequences is now available.
  116. It plays sequences direct from harddrive and is independent of special
  117. video hard- or software (but it needs the EGS system as well).
  118. You can find EGS-TV-Player in a separate archiv named "egstvplayerxx.lha"
  119. where xx is the version number. An interesting demo sequence is included
  120. in that archiv.

  122. Disclaimer
  123. ----------

  125. I tried my best to make this program error-free. It has been checked
  126. with enforcer and mungwall and works without problems on my configuration.
  127. Nevertheless, as there are so many possible configurations of Amigas,
  128. EGS-Systems, framegrabbers, I can not guarantee that this software
  129. will work on your configuration. Especially the complex EGS-System
  130. does not have the desired stability in some situations. In cases
  131. where I found problems with EGS, I tried to workaround them, or
  132. explained them in this document.

  134. This software (program and documentation) is provided "as is" and
  135. comes with no warranty, either expressed or implied.
  136. The author is in no way responsible for any damage or loss that may
  137. occur due to direct or indirect usage of this software. You use
  138. this software entirely at your own risk.

  151. The demo version of EGS-TV may be freely distributed and used as long
  152. as the following conditions are met:
  153.  
  154. 1) All files have to be kept together
  155.  
  156. 2) No file may be modified or crunched/packed.
  157.  
  158.    The only official way to distribute EGS-TV demo packed is the original
  159.    egstv.lha or egstv.lzh-archive.
  160.  
  161.    EGS-TV may not be disassembled or analysed. The limitations integrated
  162.    in the demo version may under no circumstance be removed or bypassed.
  163.  
  164. 3) Distributors may only charge for the duplication process (including media)
  165.    and not for the software. Theese charges may not exceed the following
  166.    limits: a) EGS-TV demo on a PD-disk: 8$ (US-dollar) including
  167.               postage&packing (in Germany: 12DM)
  168.        b) EGS-TV demo on a PD-CD-ROM: 50$ (US-dollar) including
  169.               postage&packing (in Germany: 75DM)
  170.        c) EGS-TV demo on a BBS/Mailbox/ftp-site or other electronically
  171.               callable system: Maximum charge 4$ (US-dollar) (in Germany: 6DM)
  172.               for downloading
  173.    Anyway, it must be made explictly clear to the buyer, that he does not
  174.    pay for the program (demo) itself but only for the duplication service.
  175.  
  176. 4) It is not allowed to distribute EGS-TV with any commercial product without
  177.    a written permission by me. One exception is the distribution of the demo
  178.    version with products, not exceeding the above price limits (e.g. a cover-
  179.    disk magazine for 8$ or less).

  181.    The following companies have my explicit permission to distribute the
  182.    EGS-TV demo with their products: NOVA Design, Ingenieurbüro Helfrich,
  183.    Macrosystem
  184.  
  185.    If you want to distribute EGS-TV demo with your commercial product
  186.    (hardware or software) write to me for details.

  188.    If you want your software or hardware product to be capable of working
  189.    directly with EGS-TV you can also contact me (address as above).

  191. 5) The registered version may not be redistributed. It may only run on one
  192.    machine per registration. It is allowed to make a backup copy of the
  193.    original disk.
