  1. EGS-TV-Professional  The Desktop-Video and Framegrabber software for EGS

  6. This is the full version of EGS-TV V3.4a, the shareware video software for
  7. EGS graphic boards. To use this as full version you need a keyfile, which
  8. can only be obtained by registering directly by me. Without keyfile
  9. EGS-TV has some restrictions.

  11. What does EGS-TV offer?
  12. -----------------------
  13.  
  14. EGS-TV is a pure EGS program. It offers high/true-color sequence editing
  15. and animation generation for random access sequences on your harddisk
  16. (Professional version only). It can apply amazing trick technics as the
  17. Blue Screen Keying to your pictures and sequences/animations. Did you ever
  18. want to edit an 80MByte animation and delete a frame out of the middle?
  19. No problem with EGS-TV-Professional...

  21. All this is done through a font sensitive EGS user interface which runs
  22. on your biggest screens in 24Bit color quality...

  24. * Picture import from many programs (ImageFX, PicoPainter, SpectraPaint)

  26. * Framegrabber support for VLab- and IV24 (Impact Vision) with
  27.   high color monitor function and much more: This makes your VLab or
  28.   your IV24 to a Motion Video Card with sequence recording...
  29.   Please note that the IV24 functions are still in testing phase!

  71. * VLab-Framegrabber (classical and Y/C; also as Parallelport versions)

  73. * IV24 as Framegrabber (noch in der Testphase)

  75. * Cameron/Reisware handy scanner (no real Video hardware, but they
  76.   can be used as frame source for greyscale pictures as well)

  80. EGS-TV can also be used without a framegrabber as stand alone video program.

  82. Registering
  83. -----------

  85. The registration fee for EGS-TV Professional is currently 30US$ for users
  86. outside of europe and 40DM for users in europe (see registration form for
  87. other possible currencies). Alternatively you can still register the clas-
  88. sical version of EGS-TV (20US$ or 25DM) (see documentation for differences).

  90. English and german versions available. An extensive documentation (more
  91. than 100kByte) is included in Amiga-Guide format.

  93. Free updates are normally available due to the keyfile concept.
  94.  
  95. A registrationform and a softwareimprovementform (for bug reports and
  96. suggestions) is supplied in this archiv (please print them with 12CPI
  97. and a left margin of 10).

  99. Separate player program
  100. -----------------------
  101.  
  102. A separate player program for EGS-TV sequences is now available.
  103. It plays sequences direct from harddrive and is independent of special
  104. video hard- or software (but it needs the EGS system as well).
  105. You can find EGS-TV-Player in a separate archiv named "egstvplayerxx.lha"
  106. where xx is the version number. An interesting demo sequence is included
  107. in that archiv.

  109. Disclaimer
  110. ----------

  112. I tried my best to make this program error-free. It has been checked
  113. with enforcer and mungwall and works without problems on my configuration.
  114. Nevertheless, as there are so many possible configurations of Amigas,
  115. EGS-Systems, framegrabbers, I can not guarantee that this software
  116. will work on your configuration. Especially the complex EGS-System
  117. does not have the desired stability in some situations. In cases
  118. where I found problems with EGS, I tried to workaround them, or
  119. explained them in this document.

  121. This software (program and documentation) is provided "as is" and
  122. comes with no warranty, either expressed or implied.
  123. The author is in no way responsible for any damage or loss that may
  124. occur due to direct or indirect usage of this software. You use
  125. this software entirely at your own risk.

  127. Copyright and Distribution

  138. The demo version of EGS-TV may be freely distributed and used as long
  139. as the following conditions are met:
  140.  
  141. 1) All files have to be kept together
  142.  
  143. 2) No file may be modified or crunched/packed.
  144.  
  145.    The only official way to distribute EGS-TV demo packed is the original
  146.    egstv.lha or egstv.lzh-archive.
  147.  
  148.    EGS-TV may not be disassembled or analysed. The limitations integrated
  149.    in the demo version may under no circumstance be removed or bypassed.
  150.  
  151. 3) Distributors may only charge for the duplication process (including media)
  152.    and not for the software. Theese charges may not exceed the following
  153.    limits: a) EGS-TV demo on a PD-disk: 8$ (US-dollar) including
  154.               postage&packing (in Germany: 12DM)
  155.        b) EGS-TV demo on a PD-CD-ROM: 50$ (US-dollar) including
  156.               postage&packing (in Germany: 75DM)
  157.        c) EGS-TV demo on a BBS/Mailbox/ftp-site or other electronically
  158.               callable system: Maximum charge 4$ (US-dollar) (in Germany: 6DM)
  159.               for downloading
  160.    Anyway, it must be made explictly clear to the buyer, that he does not
  161.    pay for the program (demo) itself but only for the duplication service.

  163. 4) It is not allowed to distribute EGS-TV with any commercial product without
  164.    a written permission by me. One exception is the distribution of the demo
  165.    version with products, not exceeding the above price limits (e.g. a cover-
  166.    disk magazine for 8$ or less).

  168.    The following companies have my explicit permission to distribute the
  169.    EGS-TV demo with their products: NOVA Design, Ingenieurbüro Helfrich,
  170.    Macrosystem

  172.    If you want to distribute EGS-TV demo with your commercial product
  173.    (hardware or software) write to me for details.

  175.    If you want your software or hardware product to be capable of working
  176.    directly with EGS-TV you can also contact me (address as above).

  178. 5) The registered version may not be redistributed. It may only run on one
  179.    machine per registration. It is allowed to make a backup copy of the
  180.    original disk.
