- The Options menu lets you configure various aspects of Pro-Organiser, and is
- split into three main areas ....
-
- SECURITY
-
- It's possible to set up a PIN number to prevent unauthorised access to your
- organiser. This is initially set to 0000, but it is easily changed.
-
- Lock Now - This instantly locks the organiser, and prevents any more access
- until the PIN number is entered. It's ideal if you are near 'prying' eyes,
- but need to go make a coffee or something.
-
- Request PIN on Startup - If this option is ticked, Pro-Organiser will ask for
- the PIN number each time the program is loaded.
-
- Change PIN number - It can be changed to any 4 digit number.
-
- SETTINGS
-
- Animated Page Turning - If ticked, each time you turn the page it will appear
- to turn like a real paper page. It does slow things down though, so you might
- prefer to have it turned off - up to you.
-
- Bubble Help - Can be turned on or off - Once you've used Pro-Organiser for
- a while, you'll know what everything does, and the bubble-help can get a
- bit annoying - especially as it can cause screen-corruption from time to
- time. When you get to this stage, just turn it off.
-
- Change Bubble Help Speed - Ideally, you should be able to 'hover' above an
- iconfor a couple of seconds before a help bubble appears. If your machine
- is any faster than a standard 2Mb A1200, then it will appear before then.
- This option lets you change that by entering a 4-digit number describing the
- delay. 0001 is instant (and flickery!), whereas 9999 would take ages. It is
- automatically set to 0850, so just alter 100 or so either way until if feels
- right.
-
- Request Date On Startup - Pro-Organiser will automatically ask for the
- correct date each time it is loaded, but obviously this is
- unnecessary if you have a battery backed up clock installed. Deselecting this
- option will prevent the request from taking place.
-
-
- OLD DIARY ENTRIES
-
- There's no point in having old diary entries clogging up your disk drive, so
- you have the option of either letting Pro-Organiser delete old ones
- automatically every day, or manually deleting them yourself from time to time.
- A diary entry is classed as being old when it's more than a week old.
