  15. I'm glad to announce a NEW and very MUCH enhanced release of 'AddressAssist'
  16. (AA). Since its first published version, many new features have been added 
  17. - also due to many suggestions of the users, thank you! - to make AA
  18. one of the BEST address managment programs in the AMIGA world of computing!
  19. And more features will follow!

  21. AA ist designed to be a very easy to use, but yet powerful
  22. address managment program for use at work, at home, in clubs etc.

  25. Take a look at the some of the most important features:

  27.    * 16 field address database including 4 user definable text fields
  28.      (new in release 2: 2nd 'Name'-field and an all new 'Group'-field
  29.      to distinguish up to 10 address groups) and two additional
  30.      multi-line remark fields with unlimited field length in separate
  31.      windows.

  33.    * Very nice and intuitive user interface based on MUI (which makes
  34.      it size and font sensible, 3.1 compatible)

  36.    * Two types of database/record view: the database List view provides
  37.      easy overview and access while the record Form view enlightens the
  38.      record's details.

  40.    * Ability to change the set of records to be viewed: all, only
  41.      selected or unselected or view the records by group.

  43.    * More than one data files can be used with ADDRESSASSIST: all
  44.      database configuration - like the FreeX field name or or the Group

  46.      setup are stored in the data files, if desirable with an icon.

  54.      providing user definable and flexible output format: output text
  55.      style and format; new for release 2: user definable record field

  104. To spread AA all over the world, it would be nice to support as many languages
  105. as possible. If you are interested in providing a catalog file translation and 
  106. a short readme file for AddressAssist in your own language, please contact the
  107. author BEFORE starting to translate.
