  16.      This program was born to achieve a better way to catalogue and archive
  17. files  on  ANY  MEDIA  DEVICE. It features functions able to quickly trace,
  18. view, unpack, rename, discard, dupecheck, ..., files.

  20.      It  can be used either to trace a file among your CD-Roms, or to avoid
  21. wasting  your  hard  disk  space  with  programs  you already moved to your
  22. storage/backup units.

  24.      It  also features two handy options: FitDisk and SingleFit, which have
  25. been  designed  to allow you to optimize your collection of files to fit in
  26. the least possible number of disk units (floppies, Zip-s, tapes, ...).

  28.      McFiler  requires  at least OS 3.0+ (v39+) and "reqtools.library" v38+

  36. V5.0 had been linked with a library not working on plain 68000 machines,
  37. thus McFiler wasn't working. Now its author fixed that bug (thanks to Leif
  38. Euren and Tom Christensen).

  40. Memory allocation were rather slow: fixed.

  42. The Pattern Matching field now can host up to twice as much characters
  43. (100).

  45. McFiler's ScreenMode requester will now prompt the user with over-640x480
  46. screens only, recognizing overscan where appliable.

  48. File I/O operation speed is twice as fast now, due to AsyncIO.lib (linked).

  50. If you press a key (from A to Z) while @{b}holding Shift@{ub}, the main
  51. list prompt will look for the first item beginning with that character.
