- PPNoReq 9.9 release date: 26th of September by Buster & Fuzz
-
- yes dudes!
-
- I hate to talk drivel, so let me ram home the point...
- some of you might have wanted to get rid of the
- Password requester, so here you go! The advantage is clear. Someone
- unauthorized might want to load a program of yours. Well, for him
- there won't be a sign of action. Only you know that in fact you have
- to enter your designated password (But don't get trapped there by
- yourself and forget the trick!). If he has a short fuse, he will give
- up and think it's a butt-dumpling program. Perhaps he'll try Snoopdos.
- But it will only tell him something like this:
-
- name [5] name openlib intuition.library
-
- Now, which program doesn't use that one?
-
- An additional feature is that you have to directly enter the
- password. Don't klick anywere or change tasks in this moment, because
- you will have no try left this way. Normally people tend to klick the
- hell out of the mouse if something doesn't work. So unauthorized
- people are ferreted out by their lacking competence (btw: keep the
- competence among the elite, don't spread this to lame-assed dill-weeds).
-
- Of course this is no nostrum to ensure anything that remotely connects to
- privacy (there's plenty of leeway left to get to the core, especially
- since 2-cool's kewl ppdecrypter released yesterday) but at least it
- adds to the intricacy and complexity of whatever and makes life a bit
- harder for some un-hardcorey panty-waists..
-
- Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to get this feature as a tool to
- overwrite your old PP, but I think having the old version is adequate
- anyway. Due to this fact we renounced on adding the libs and prefs
- normally coming along with PP. Everyone should have it!
-
- to install, simply copy the file `PP_9.9_NoReq' into your normal PP
- directory.
-
- see you...
