-
- GENERAL
-
- CDFSprefs is a preference editor for the TandemCacheCDFS supplied with the
- TandemCD package by bsc or the CacheCDFS distributed by Elaborate Bytes.
-
- This program requires Kickstart version 2.04 or greater to work.
-
-
- INSTALLATION
-
- Let the supplied installation program do this job!
- It will copy CDFSprefs into your Sys:Prefs drawer.
-
-
- USING THIS PROGRAM
-
- This program can be started by typing its name from the CLI or by double
- clicking its program icon from the workbench.
-
- The DOS device for the CDROM must be present/mounted, otherwise the program
- won't work.
-
- With this program, you don't need to modify your mountlist entry for your
- CD-ROM with a text editor. Simply adjust the values as you like, and click
- the SAVE gadget.
- The changes will be stored in your mountlist entry and the filesystem will
- be informed of these changes immediately.
- There is no need to reboot to make the changes active!
- The USE gadget will perform the changes, but will not store them in the
- mountlist entry.
- This is handy if want to experiment with different cache settings.
-
- To get a detailed information about the different possible settings, please
- consult the file CacheCDFS.doc, especially the chapter "Theory of operation".
-
-
- GHOSTED GADGETS:
- Some of the gadgets will be ghosted with the bsc version of the CacheCDFS, as
- this version has the RockRidge and MAC-HFS features disabled.
- The will become operational, if you have the full, non restricted version of
- the CacheCDFS.
-
- You can order this version at:
