  9. The "Pleased to Play" modplayer v2.1
  10.  
  11. PtPlay was created to be used with filemanagers like DirWork/SID/Dopus,
  12. and www browsers like AWeb/IBrowse etc.
  13.  
  14. One problem with other players is that you can not save a module,
  15. this is very important if you want to avoid reloading a mod you like
  16. just to save it, PtPlay support saving, so you only load the module once.
  17. PtPlay will also (if given) use the url of the file when saving the mod,
  18. this avoids weird cache names like AHT5550033.mod etc :-)

  23. o Plays MOD/MOD0/MMD0/MMD1/MMD2 and THX tracker modules.

  32. Changes since last release!
  33.  v2.1 - 11.10.1997
  34.         Updated PtPlay to use a new THX replayer.
  35.         Tried to add some more or less smart routines
  36.         to extract author and comment from instrument names,
  37.         the first samplename that start with # is the author name,
  38.         if the sample name after start with # it is the comment,
  39.         MMD modules has a special annotation,
  40.         if this has text it will be used rather than looking in the sample
  41.         names, also adjusted the play and pause/stop controls.
  42.         It will also while saving try to convert the extension
  43.         from xxx.blabla to blabla.xxx and will use default extensions
  44.         this is to comply with the standard way of all files
  45.         having the extension as an extension, ThE sCeNe way of naming
  46.         turns the mod name into the extension causing cut names
  47.         when copying across plattforms.
  48.         Fixed some spelling mistakes etc, in the guide.
  49.         I even added some mods :-)
