  13. agreement.  Oh well, now that the topic is out in the open, I might as
  14. well talk about it.

  16.     Yes, it's true:  Commodore has hired BLAZEMONGER, INC. to do its
  17. next generation of television commercials!  Thanks to the astounding,
  18. universal success of our BLAZEMONGER and PHRASEMONGER products, we were
  19. approached by Commodore at last year's DEVCON and the deal was made.

  21.     Here is a SPECIAL PREVIEW of the first upcoming Amiga commercial by
  22. the MARKETING GENIUSES at BLAZEMONGER, INC.  Our predictions show that at
  23. LEAST 90,000 sales will result directly from each broadcast of this
  24. commercial... GUARANTEED!

  26.     It begins with soothing music and a scene of ocean waves lapping
  27. gently at the shore of a tropical island beach.  A voice says:

  29.     "Just imagine...

  31.         ... a computer so amazing, so powerful, that the
  32.             most difficult tasks execute with blinding speed.
  33.  
  34.     [A flash of lightning strikes a palm tree and causes a bright
  35.      explosion.  The beach-goers flee in terror.]

  37.         ... a computer so fast, simple to use, that it takes you
  38.             higher than the height of the highest heights.
  39.  
  40.     [Cut to a view of the earth from the US Space Shuttle.  Australia is
  41.      cleverly labeled "AMIGA" for a touch of subliminal advertising.]

  43.         ... a machine so advanced that it can operate an electron
  44.             microscope, yet so friendly that it licks your face.

  46.     [Cut to an X-ray diagram of a large dog.]
  47.  
  48.         ... a computer than can do ANYTHING!

  50.     [Cut to HAM picture of a size 41 girdle covered with maple syrup.]

  52.         WELL?!?  WHY DON'T YOU *OWN* ONE, STUPID?????  Are you just
  53.         IGNORANT NATURALLY, or did you have PAINFUL SURGERY to attain
  54.         TOTAL BRAINLESSNESS????

  56.     [Cut to the flag of whatever nation is watching the commercial,
  57.      waving in the simulated wind.]

  59.         The Amiga is the ULTIMATE, ULTIMATE computer -- EVERYBODY
  60.         knows that.  So get WITH it, DOOOD!!!  Any OTHER computer
  61.         isn't worth the GRIMY DIRT on its RETURN KEY!  BLEAH!!!

  63.     [Cut to silicon-chip cleanroom.]

  65.         First, we've got HARDWARE.  Oy, do we got hardware.  The
  66.         HARDEST in the INDUSTRY!!  Our chips are made of a secret
  67.         TITANIUM STEEL/DIAMOND ALLOY, covered with MOLTEN LEAD and
  68.         garnished with a sprig of PARSLEY!  [Cut to Julia Child,
  69.         nodding approval.]

  71.     [Cut to shelves and shelves of software.]

  73.         Then, we've got SOFTWARE.  You NAME it, we GOT it.  Graphics,
  74.         programming tools, games, word processors, games, and
  75.         other stuff!!

  77.     [Cut to successful-looking business office, full of good-looking
  78.      businesspeople.  Way in the back of the picture is Irving Gould,
  79.      stacking money into neat piles.]

  81.         Business applications?  OF COURSE!!  MILLIONS of business
  82.         applications!!  BILLIONS of them!!!!!  Oh yes!  For instance,
  83.         for instance, er, um, uh... uh..., yeah, LOTS of business
  84.         applications!!!  TONS of them!!!

  86.     [Cut to scientists in lab coats with "Amiga" decals.  One of them
  87.      looks not entirely unlike Dave Haynie (or Peter Cherna... whoever
  88.      is cheaper).]

  90.         Finally, there's the OPERATING SYSTEM:  the most ADVANCED
  91.         operating system on the PLANET.  Multitasking?  You GOT it!
  92.         Run ANY NUMBER of applications SIMULTANEOUSLY to your
  93.         HEART'S DESIRE!!

  95.     [A low, ominous rumble begins...]
  96.  
  97.         And of course, ONLY the Amiga runs the most DEVASTATING game
  98.         ever produced:  BLAZEMONGER '92!!!

  100.     [Cut to actual footage of the Nagasaki atomic bomb, followed by a
  101.      short but bloody animation of dying children being eaten alive by
  102.      Nancy Reagan.]

  104.         So do the SMART thing today... and buy AMIGA!  Made by
  105.         COMMODORE, who is not a games-machine factory.

  112. time tomorrow night on ZBS.  Watch for it!
