- This: "Journal Entry ddd / yyyy" is the DATE, in days since New
- Year's and the year. And a Pendorian year is 292 days long. I had to
- add that; so many people asked what the pattern means..
-
- Those of you who don't particularily care for my tales, well the
- keywords are right there... feel free to make kill files. I'm really not
- hurt; _I_ don't particularily care for those stories written in the
- second person, myself.
-
- While we're here, I had a *great* thing happen this week (along
- with all the awful things) (at least, I thought it was great) and that was
- that I was typing a new story, hit the "save" button, and a little
- requester came up and said "VOLUME 'Journal Entries' IS FULL." Full? I
- asked my screen. You mean, FULL, like in a whole Megabyte of Journal
- Entries? I thought it was neat, an accomplishment, and it made me feel
- good. A milestone.
-
- Only once have I received negative mail about my stories, and they
- said "Your stories are self-aggrandizment; nobody's interested in this kind
- of stuff." Well, obviously some people are interested, and besides, why
- is there an alt.sex.bestiality?.
-
- On the other hand, it is true that I write these for something
- other than money; I don't get paid for the Journal Entries (not yet,
- at any rate.), so I have to rely on something else to tell me I'm doing
- a good job... An occasional kudo makes me feel good. Yes, it is a Hell
- of an ego-stroke to read "I liked your story..."
-
- So here they are. Let the chaos begin.
-
- Elf !!!
- elf@halcyon.wa.com
-
- P.S. Not all stories are being posted to all newsgroups; I'd like to
- restrict them to those parts of alt.sex that they belong in. In the future
- the entire series will be posted again, on alt.prose, in rot13.
-
- P.S. My wife (omaha@halcyon) is going to kill me if she sees some of
- these. Even though I have an entire postscripted set on my desk, she
- rarely reads them. It's funny how, as time goes on, P'nyssa and she
- become more and more alike.
-
- P.S. Normally I wouldn't do this, but if you like these stories, I
- recommend "Telepaths Don't Need Safeword" by Cecilia M. Tan. She's a
- better writer than I.
