- Reply to OTT which was in itself a reply

- be any wars, blah, blah.....

- FLT reply to OTT on Worms - Part 2
- ----------------------------------
-
- Firstly, the original that FLT had, which OTT now accepts was a FINAL
- SALES, does exactly the same thing when you quit the game. I cannot
- remember the line of code in its entirety, but it was something along the
- lines of a MOVE.l (a0),(a1) which was in a loop. There was nothing there
- that even remotely would trouble a 68000 chip as I did'nt use any 68020+
- specific instructions as the game is for all Amiga's (as long as the game
- will allow itself to work properly). At the end of the day, the game was
- coded in BLITZ BASIC 2, which is not the most rock steady programming
- language in the world, coupled with the 'lets not use the disk drive and
- cram as much into memory as we can, thus making people with lesser machines
- miss out'.
-
- When you consider that Worms wont even run from your hard drive if you
- have CD.DEVICE, it wont run on a hard drive on a standard 2 meg chip ram
- machine without you having to disable the startup-sequence, then anything
- is bound to go wrong. It would surprise me little if Team 17 have updated
- the game and just remastered the disks, because allthough the problems
- above do happen, they happen in the original, and our original was a FINAL
- SALES...... so, nothing against OTT, or anyone else, but if the software in
- question is'nt programmed properly, how can anyone expect ourselves or
- anyone else not to get a bit shirty when we see yet another version of a
- game that was 100% in the first place. It was not so much the actions of
- OTT that made me explode, it was the idiots that released Worms 101% with
- the added feature of typing "333".
-
- As for Moonstone...... Someone will have to get me the disks, I know what
- the problem is, but I never did get around to actually patching it.
-
-
- So, with that, Seasonal greetings to everyone, and MAYBE, just MAYBE, I
- might even have a release for everyone on Xmas day......
