  4.                             GRYZOR SPEAKS OUT!

  7. This Is Dalamar writing. I just came home from work, when SKIZE called
  8. me up, first BBS, then Voice. We chatted for some mins, when TANGO/DPL
  9. called up the BBS.

  11. I got into chat and told him to gimme a voice call, so we could discuss
  12. our latest dreamchart Projects. Said and done. We had a little tele-
  13. conference, Skize, me and tango.
  14.  
  15. Eventually Gryzor and the Hd-formaters came up to discussion. Tango wasn't
  16. convinced that Gryzor had done it. We decided to call upp gryzor and 
  17. let him defend himself. Said and done. We now had a multi-voice-chat
  18. between Dalamar-tango-skize and gryzor.

  20. As soon as he got online I asked: Did you, or did you not create the
  21. Hd formaters? This took him by surpise. Tango giggled "that sure was
  22. straightforward".

  24. "well, I could say It was me and I could say It wasn't. Does really anyone
  25.  care what I say?", Gryzor replied.

  27. Since he talked about no evidence against him, I presented him with some:

  29. The files where first uploaded at interchange BBS. This on HIS account,
  30. BORRE. (that was his handle before he changed It to GRYZOR). All 
  31. according to the callerslog on the same BBS.

  33. "I have no account there", he said. Then he recalled having one, but it
  34. was 3 years old, and had his old Handle. It wasn't active. He hadn't called
  35. in years.

  37. He claimed someone else had used his account to upload the files, and to
  38. put the blaim on him. I asked Who had access to his accounts and/or his
  39. passwords. He didn't have a clue. He hadn't given it to anybody, but said
  40. it was an easy thing to get Interchanges User.data, decrypt it, get his PW
  41. and use it. He said interchanges user.data had been in Zonderkommandos HQ
  42. for years now. (they hacked it)

  44. Oki, i said, that's a possibility, even though it doesn't sound very 
  45. likely to me that this is what had happened.

  47. The second possibility was that someone had logged in with his handle,
  48. with the intention of uploading the files and put the blaim on Gryzor
  49. (Borre). Sure, that seems more possible, I said. But the only way to 
  50. see if this is true, is if the sysop at interchange kindy could check up
  51. WHEN this Borre account was set up (the answers-file).

  53. Tango said that this actually wasn't Borres style. Sure, he does a lot 
  54. of hacking, but has no wish to fuck up EVERYBODY's Hd's, but he instead
  55. concentrates on a special person (Macroman) or a special BBS. Not on the
  56. whole scene.

  58. Gryzor agreed and said that IF he would do something like those
  59. Hd-fuckuppers, he would go straight for the RDB and destroy the Hd.
  60. He woulnd't just write files over with a little text. Those files can
  61. be restored he said, depending on what method the trasher uses when writing
  62. the files over. There was a little technical discussion about this and
  63. about how to decrypt /X passwords the easiest way, with gryzor claiming
  64. it was a simple thing to do, and tango proving him wrong. anyhow..

  66. I agreed that all those were possibilities that could free Gryzor, but
  67. I had one important piece of evidence that still pointed towards him:

  69. "the one that used the BORRE account at interchange", I said "edited the
  70. sentby-line, so that it wouldn't show that the upload was made by BORRE"
  71. "now could you explain, why somebody that supposedly has hacked your
  72. account, to upload Hd'trashers in your name, would try to HIDE the fact
  73. that the files were uploaded in your name???? " "He should have done
  74. everything possible so that people would se that YOU uploaded the stuff.
  75. By removing the sentby-line we could only know it was you by checking
  76. the callerslog. Not an easy thing to do. WHY would someone trying to
  77. put the blame on you, actually instead try to hide the fact that the 
  78. upload was made on your account?"

  80. He couldn't anwer that one. He said something about that "It would seem
  81. more realistic then." Tango said that it could be a friend of borre, but
  82. borre(gryzor) didn't have a clue of anyone.

  84. Well, at first it sounded convincing. There was no clear evidence pointing
  85. at Gryzor. Someone could have faked his handle, this can be checked in
  86. the answersfile at Interchange, as I said before.

  88. A while I was convinced that he was innocent. But the answer on the 
  89. sentby-line wasn't satisfactory. That little incident points, in my
  90. opinion, against Gryzor. But then I could be wrong. He MIGHT be innocent,
  91. someone just using his reputation to put the blaim on him. As always, it's
  92. up to you, to everyone in this scene, to make up their minds and draw their
  93. OWN conclusions.

  95. I've tried, after best ability and memory to document our little chat.
  96. I beg Tango & Gryzor for apologies if I missed out anything important.
  97. I hardly think so. I wrote this file as soon as we hung Up. Skize was, 
  98. as always, a very good listener, and prefered to stay in the background
  99. and jumping in to say his point on some technical matters.

  101. P.S  About all those .txt's released in this mess. Gryzor says he only
  102.      written 2 of them. Lastreply.txt was one of them. the files where
  103.      he "admitted" that he wrote the formater are fakes. I think he said
  104.      gryrep.txt was the other one he wrote, but I'm not 100% sure about
  105.      that one.

  107. And about me beeing a "snotty kid" (snor-unge), I would like to point
  108. out that I Still am 3 years older than you Gryzor. You are 20, I'm 23.

  110. About me having no clue about the amiga-scene, I would like to object
  111. and claim that I keep myself updated EVERY day on what's going on, and
  112. have done so a LONG time. Who do you think writes the NEWS and ARTICLES
  113. section in Dreamcharts..

  115. And a funny little note that someone pointed out, (no names ;)
  116. This guys voice, gryzors, Shifted all the time from high-pitched, screamy
  117. tones, to low bari-tones. Like listening to a 17-year old. Quite Cool (;
