- THE SCENE AIN'T FUN ANYMORE!!!!!!!!
-
- I mean it, it's not a joke! Everything has been terribly commercial in the
- past few years.
-
- Look at old demos from around 1990. They didn't didn't have so advanced
- routines as there is today, but they were fun and entertaining to watch.
- The demos from those times was made in an uncommersial and fun style, and
- everybody understood the things. The demos today are so technical and so
- advanced that "normal" persons (persons that might not have watched a demo
- before) doesn't understand what it is all about.
- Look at the "Revenge"-demo from Fraxion that was made after the police
- raided that party. The demo had many fun things... the usual scrolltext
- which contained funny text (example: this demo is rated for 18'ns and over,
- but the graphicer is not 18, so he had a hard time making the graphics
- since I couldn't look at what was drawing.... that was one example from the
- amusing scrolltext.) , those "horror"-parts where you saw persons butchering
- each other on rather amusing ways, the TV-presenter part and the "commercial
- break" where they advertised the Chainsaw... :)
- All that was entertaing to watch. No vectors, no techno music, just plain
- fun.
-
- Most demos today contains 3D-vectors and other 3D-effects, techno-music and
- maybe some pictures. Everything is VERY commercial and boring to watch.
- There's no amusing scrolltext, no amusing effects and things like that. In
- other words: IT'S BORING!!!
-
-
- So, why can't coders make more traditional demos?? It's a lot better for
- everyone! I don't want another vector-demo! I don't want more techno-music!
- I DON'T WANT MORE COMMERCIAL STYLE!!!!
-
- I (and certainly many others) wants demos that is like those made in 1990
- and earlier! They're much more entertaing!
-
- Everything is so commercial today.... but it doesn't need to be!
