  7. Wow! What can I say!  Yup yet again my phreaking phreinds (Phuck this f=Ph
  8. business right now!) decided to play around with some fones some more and
  9. look what they've come up with this time!
  10.  
  11. You will need :-
  12.  
  13.         1 - A small hand held fone (Just the handset type)
  14.             with a socket on it that will plug directly into a wall
  15.             socket
  16.  
  17.         2 - A telephone extension cable (Get one from Tandy etc.)
  18.             you dont need one too long, In fact get the smallest available
  19.             as you only need to use a metre or so.
  20.  
  21.         3 - 2 Crocodile clips
  22.  
  23.         4 - Wire strippers , soldering iron , solder etc.

  25. Okay first examine the extension cord. You will notice it has two plugs (One
  26. at each end) they are ..
  27.  
  28.         1 - A hole type socket one you have on your fone socket on the wall
  29.             in your home.
  30.  
  31.         2 - A plug type thing that goes into a wall socket
  32.  
  33. Cut off the second one. Pair off the two wires and solder the crocodile clips
  34. onto them (One on each wire) It doesn't matter which way round you solder
  35. them. Plug the fone into  the extension lead.  If you are holding two plugs
  36. which look the same, then you fucked up. So buy another extension and start
  37. again LAMER!

  39. Now the good part.  Finding a phreak location.

  41. To assist you with this part I will tell the story of what happened yesterday!

  44. First  the phreaks drove to a block of flats. The block of deserted flats was
  45. only accessible through a basement door.  However the basement door had a sort
  46. of combination lock on it.

  48. Two phreaks sat in his car eating while the third phreak fucked about with it.
  49. They  noticed that every time some maintenance dudes came to go in, He was
  50. looking at what keys they were pressing (Clever dude!)

  52. The two phreaks eventually walked out of the car over to him.  Have Got any
  53. codes They asked? I have Four possible codes, he replied.

  55. They  fucked  about  with  the  lock  trying  them  out  for a good 15 minutes
  56. eventually  after  the third one didn't work they were about to give up. Then
  57. on the last code the phreak goes over and says "Its something like 261"
  58.  
  59. 2 6 1 - no joy
  60. 2 5 1 - no joy
  61. 2 4 1 - Nothing

  63. Then suddenly "KER-click" Bingo! Entrance! great stuff! They walked through
  64. the door into a weird shaped room sort of like ..

  76. The door was at point 1. They walked in and turned right towards the alcove
  77. marked as point 2 It contained Electric meters, Gas meters and ...  A fone
  78. junction  box! After ripping off the cover, They were confronted with the
  79. following..

  88. They attached a crocodile clip to the terminals with wires coming off em.
  89. (the fifth ones!) There was a POP and suddenly, they had a dial tone!

  91. They decided to test it by ringing various numbers (Mostly 0898 you 
  92. perverts!) The room was echoing like fuck so its a bit dodgy. Also another
  93. drawback is that if grandma upstairs picks  up her fone, you would have a
  94. sort of mini conference!  (not too clever!)

  96. This is also a sort of fone tap I suppose! So if you were to connect a set
  97. of headfones, I suppose you could probably listen to the victims
  98. conversation without all the echoing and feedback that the phreaks were 
  99. getting.

  101. Another good thing about this is that if you do it to someone you don't
  102. like, then they will get charged for the call! Got any contacts you want
  103. to speak to in the states ?  (HEHE!)

  105. After making some brief calls, The phreaks decided to leave and then
  106. went off to steal a fonebox. (See separate article!)
