  6.   Midnight Maniac/Paradox Denmark has been busted.

  8. On the 11th of January 1994 the founder and co-leader of Paradox
  9. was busted. 
  10.  
  11. He was busted due to large scale sale of pirated software.
  12.  
  13. As he is still in custody, not many details has come out, but as far
  14. as I are concerned he WILL coorporate with the police. He has handed 
  15. over information corcerning some parts of the danish piracy scene.

  18. The police has been intercepting his phoneline for more than 3 months and
  19. have a huge amount of evidence. The police also has been monitoring his
  20. postoffices. 
  21.  
  22. The police was informed by several danish software distributors. They will
  23. make claims of more than 2 mill dkr (appx 300000 US$).  
  24.  
  25. These companies want to link him with a certain danish PC bbs and a certain
  26. guy selling software on CD using a WORM.
  27.  
  28. Henrik may even be sentenced to prison (this is NOT clarified)
  29.  
  30. This case was in the beginning PC only but when the police discovered the
  31. nature of his sale (Amiga, SNES and PC) they covered up this whole case.

  37. If you are into ANY business with Midnight Maniac (or Fast Eddie, Mail Man,
  38. Wild Thing, Henrik, Kenneth etc) I hereby carefully advice you to take the 
  39. precautions you think would be necessary to prevent the police in conjunc-
  40. tion with Midnight Maniac from busting YOU too. There can be NO doubt that 
  41. Midnight Maniac will use all his knowledge about the danish scene to try to
  42. go free.

  44. As this is the biggest case of it's kind in Denmark the public hasn't been
  45. notified yet, as he will as mentioned above will cooporate with the police.

  53. Somebody has been spreadding the rumour that Henrik committed suicide.
  54. This is as you see not true. And if you are in any doubt... Why should
  55. a dead man have an answering machine???

  60. bought from Midnight Maniac are to be regarded as PUBLIC DOMAIN software.
