  196.  A while ago I never thought I'd release another collection. I was tired of
  197.  the scene, tired of making logos, tired of computers. I decided to close down
  198.  my BBS early last summer and sold most of my Amiga equipment. Since I couldn't
  199.  get that much money for my plain A1200 I decided to keep it for a while.
  200.  
  201.  Later on I bought a PC, mostly for school and internet usage. My Amiga ended
  202.  up in my closet. Later on I got an email from my friend Exocet where he told
  203.  me he had some new collections coming up. Some other members of Arclite seemed
  204.  to be in the same situation after being inactive for a while (except Mogue
  205.  then who's active all the time; keep the good work up mate).
  206.  
  207.  This inspired me, and I plunged (well, more or less) into my closet and dug
  208.  up my old Amiga. I started CygnusEd and tried to create some logos. Most of
  209.  the logos in this collection is a result of this rather impulsive comeback.
  210.  
  211.  At the moment I'm also a frequent visitor on the IRC-channel #Ascii. There
  212.  you can reach me if you have something on your mind or just want to chitchat
  213.  for a while. I'm not sure this sudden comeback will last, this could be my
  214.  last collection. But I think I've said this before ;-)
  215.  
  216.  Some guys have tried to persuade me to attend at the Remedy party. I haven't
  217.  made up my mind yet, but since I live near the partyplace I might show up. In
  218.  case I do, see you there. In case you'd like to contact me for some reason,

  221.  Another thing that struck me when I looked through some of the collections
  222.  being released recently was the old-school vs. new-school topic. I thought
  223.  this battle was over since long by now. Apparently it's not. If someone wants
  224.  my opinion, I will share it with you right now.
  225.  
  226.  I think logos should be possible to read without somekind of translation
  227.  character by character. Most work by so called old-school artist were in fact
  228.  readable. Please note the word "most" in the previous sentence. There are also
  229.  some newer artists whos styles are quite readable. But very much is in my
  230.  opinion almost unreadable. That's a pity.
  231.
