  6. This little article was not meant to be written for any diskmag, but it is
  7. just written to make some things clear.
  8. But every diskmagazine is free to publish it when they want to, this article
  9. is written to be read, so the more diskmagazines publish it, the more it will
  10. be read !

  12. First I will write some text about some articles of mine and after that I
  13. will write some lines about two versions of PERVERTER, that were released on
  14. the same day.
  15. And at the end I will write some words about my new packmenu.

  19. --- ARTICLE MISTAKES ---
  20.  
  21. Let me start by telling you what this is about: it is about the fact that
  22. some articles that I wrote have been published in two or three diskmags,
  23. and I mean the fact that the SAME articles have been published in DIFFERENT
  24. diskmagazines.
  25. This is (ofcourse) not really interesting for the scene.
  26. I therefore I apologize for this.
  27. But let me explain how all of this started...
  28.  
  29. A very long time ago (I am talking about more than 1 year !) STRIKER and I
  30. had the idea to start a little diskmagazine.
  31. For some reasons (that I will not explain here) the project was cancelled, but
  32. I had already written some articles.
  33. It would have been a waste of time when the articles were never published, so
  34. I decided to send to articles to the editors of MEGAZIN so that they could
  35. place them in issue #3.
  36. That issue was planned to be released on 23 July 1993.
  37. It was round September 1993 and the issue was still not released.
  38. Someone from APPLAUSE asked me if I could write some articles for their
  39. magazine.
  40. I gave them the same articles and told them that the articles were originally
  41. planned for MEGAZIN but since I thought that I was never to be released again,
  42. I told them that they could use my articles.
  43. Two months later again, I forgot about this incident and send only one article
  44. (the interview with DANNY) to the CHIT-CHAT.
  45. I called to RAVEDOWN (he used to be in VICIOUS but at the time I called him
  46. he was already in TRSI) and asked him NOT to publish the interview in their
  47. diskmagazine.
  48. He told me that he would call TWAINPAIN (the maineditor) and tell him to skip
  49. the interview.
  50. I thought that I had taken care of things...
  51.  
  52. Two weeks later (somewhere in December 1993) I got my hands on MEGAZIN 3 and
  53. saw my articles (including the interview) published.
  54. I was mad about the interview, but there was nothing I could do about it.
  55. I phoned Danny and told him what happened.
  56. We decided that we would change the interview a little bit (we updated the
  57. interview, because it was made one year before) and place it in CHIT CHAT.

  59. Then I arrived at THE PARTY III and saw THING #3, which included all my 
  60. articles and the interview, this was really my mistake because I forgot about
  61. it.
  62.  
  63. As it appeared, my articles were published in two magazines and my interview
  64. in three.
  65. To avoid this from happening again, I decided not to write anymore articles
  66. (and when I do, I will send them to ONE magazine only!!!) except for the
  67. Dutch-only magazine JONG, SNEL & WILD.

  71. --- PERVERTER MISTAKES ---
  72.  
  73. This is about the fact that two different versions of PERVERTER have been
  74. released on the same day.
  75. This is how it started.
  76. On Saturday and Sunday (25 and 26 December 1993) I worked my butt off to
  77. finnish about 40 packages to send away to my contacts.
  78. On one of the disks that I sent was PERVERTER V1.4.
  79. This version was meant to be released on THE PARTY III.
  80. But half an hour after I mailed the articles I got a phone call from KIWI
  81. (the coder of the utility) who told me NOT to spread the 1.4 release because
  82. he removed some bugs and made a 1.41 release.
  83. I told him it was too late already, because I just mailed the stuff.
  84. But I could stop the modem-spreading of the 1.4 release.
  85. The 1.41 release is spread through modem at the beginning of January 1994.
  86. Note that the 1.4 and the 1.41 release has the same release date (28-12-1993).
  87. So most mail-swappers have the 1.4 release and the modem-swappers have the
  88. updated 1.41 release.

  90. I am really sorry for this, but no one is too blame for this.
  91. It was just a little 'timing-problem'

  95. --- PACK MISTAKES ---

  97. I promised to some guys that my new packmenu would be finished.
  98. First I told them it was to be finished somewhere in August 1993, later I 
  99. told them September 1993 and after that I just said soon...
  100. But we all know these delays (take BROKEN PROMISES for example, we have been
  101. told several times that it will be released soon).
  102. I will tell you now that I just don't know when it will be ready to be 
  103. released, you will just have to wait for it !
