  34. Since  the  23rd  of  July 1996, mails
  35. like  this  one  pop  up in the e-mail
  36. accounts  from all the main-editors of
  37. the  big mags.  The very moment that I
  38. am writing this article,c03 ACBSc01 in Italy
  39. may  just add another online-votesheet
  40. to  his list.  Another one to near the
  41. magic  250  barrier.   Every day a new
  42. one,  two  more,  three  added  to the
  43. impressve list of new votesheets.  All
  44. of  them  real on-line votes, directly
  45. from the following homepage:

  50. all  nations are enabled to give their
  51. favourite    releases,    groups   and
  52. individual  Sceners  on-line  not only
  53. for  one  particular  chart,  but  for
  54. many.   In  the  case  of  Generation,
  55. Sceners  are even able to fill out our
  56. f4Opinion   Pollf1   Sheet   (compare  the
  57. corresponding  article  in  this  very
  58. issue).

  62. is  very eager to spread the idea:  'I

  67. know,  he already succeeded in mailing

  75. diskmag  Scene these days, he believes

  81. The  only criticism one could possibly
  82. express  may be that all mags from now
  83. on  may  feature  the  same voters if,
  84. thus ending in normed charts all alike
  85. in every chart.  Still, would this not
  86. be  the  main  idea behind charts?  To
  87. give  an overall close-up from what is
  88. fashionable for the moment, that is.
  89. In  the  end,  this is fictious anyway
  90. for  all  the Sceners not being in the
  91. possession  of  modems.   The  job  of
  92. votecollectors     surely    is    not
  93. endangered for the next years to come.
