  1.         RUSSIAN ROULETTE
  2.  
  3. GAME ESSENCE
  4.      The game essence is that the player fills on his cards  symbols
  5. identical to those appearing in the game field .  This  is  done  by
  6. pressing the appropriate Action Keys . All game consists of  rounds,
  7. each of them ends when one (or several) player(s) wins.
  8.      Winning conditions are:
  9. - filling of one row for standard game,
  10. - filling of all the rows on the players' cards for full game.
  11.  
  12. PLAYERS
  13.      Number of players in the game can vary from 1 to 3. In addition
  14. the Computer can also take part in the game.
  15.  
  16. SYMBOLS
  17.      Symbols on cards are numbers (from 1 to 90) or colored figures.
  18. Their location can be regular or stochastic. If the Orientation option
  19. is on the figures set is extended by variously oriented symbols.
  20.  
  21. GAME LEVEL
  22.      Time interval between successive  appearances  of  symbols  (or
  23. their pronunciation) varies. The value of this  interval  determines
  24. the game level. The lesser the time interval, the  higher  the  game
  25. level.  Players  can  choose  any  of  ten  levels  available.   The
  26. transition in a group  game  take  place  automatically  during  the
  27. round.

  29. GAME TIME
  30.      Player(s) can limit the game time using Timer option. Time is
  31. measured in seconds.

  33. GAME VARIANTS
  34.      There are two game variants available: standard  and  full.  In
  35. standard game the winning condition is filling of one row , while in
  36. full game the winning condition is filling of all the  rows  on  the
  37. player(s) cards.

  39. GAME PROCESS
  40.      At the  beginning  of the  game player(s)  can  select  optimal
  41. configuration using the Options menu, then Start New game  from  the
  42. Game menu. Every player chooses from one to four (three in EGA mode)
  43. cards. In full game all players  have  the  same  number  of  cards.
  44. Players pay to the bank for chosen cards in every round. During  the
  45. game the bank increases by means of penalties payed by  players  for
  46. wrong presses. If you change the game  Options  then  you  can  only
  47. start a New game.

  49. ADDITIONAL EFFECTS (Option Joker)
  50.      Some additional effects can be introduced into the  game. They
  51. are "Fortune Gift" and "Fortune Mockery" signs.
  52. In a standard game:
  53. - if the sign "Fortune Gift" appears in the  game  field,  all  the
  54. maximally filled rows are filled to full and  the  winning  row  is
  55. chosen from them,
  56. - if the sign "Fortune Mockery" appears in the game field, all  the
  57. maximally filled rows are cleared and current round is continued.
  58. In a full game:
  59. - if the sign "Fortune Gift" appears in the game field one  of  the
  60. players by random choice wins immediately,
  61. - if the sign "Fortune Mockery" appears in the game field, all  the
  62. cards of one player are cleared and current round is continued.
  63.  
  64. WINNINGS
  65.      In a standard game player wins when he fills one of  the  rows
  66. of his cards. In the case of one winner:
  67. - if the player fills the upper row of the card then  bank  refunds
  68. him the price of his cards,
  69. - if the player fills the middle row of the card  then  he  gets  a
  70. half of the bank,
  71. - if the player fills the lower row of the card  then  he  gets the
  72. whole bank,
  73. - if several rows are filled simultaneously the lower row  has  the
  74. priority.
  75. In the case when several players filled their rows simultaneously:
  76. - the player who filled the lower row is considered a winner,
  77. - if several players have filled middle (or lower) row the winnings
  78. are shared between them
  79. - if the player(s) fills the  upper  row  of  the  card  then  bank
  80. refunds the price of his(their) cards,
  81. - if several rows are filled simultaneously the lower row  has  the
  82. priority.
  83.      In a full game the player wins when he  fills  all  his  cards.
  84. After this he gets everything from the bank. If several players have
  85. filled their cards simultaneously the winnings are shared between them.

  87. GAME FINISH
  88.      The game finishes when
  89. - one of the players runs out of money (in this case bank is shared 
  90.      equally by the players),
  91. - time limit has gone,
  92. - Esc is pressed or New Game is selected from the Main Menu.

  96.      Up, down arrows and mouse - menu control
  97.      Action keys:
  98.          SpaceBar - for first player,
  99.          Enter    - for second,
  100.          "1"      - for third.
