  6. Super Video Poker for Windows (SVPOKER) is a shareware game based
  7. on the popular video poker machines found in many casinos.  Some of
  8. the features provided by SVPOKER include:

  10.     - Both "Jacks or Better" and "Jokers Wild" variations of play
  11.     - Animation and sound effects
  12.     - On-line context-sensitive help
  13.     - Best-play advice for any hand setup by the user
  14.     - Game save/restore
  15.     - User-definable payoff tables
  16.     - Probability table showing how user's choices affect payoff odds
  17.     - Automatic play mode
  18.     - Game history table and graph
  19.

  32. REQUIREMENTS

  34. The following is required to use Super Video Poker for Windows:
  35.     - PC running Microsoft Windows 3.1
  36.     - VGA display in 640x480 resolution or higher.

  39. HOW TO INSTALL OR RUN
  40.  
  41. Copy all the Super Video Poker files into a directory, for
  42. example \SVP.
  43.  
  44. If you only want to run Super Video Poker without installing it
  45. into a Program Group, start Windows and run Super Video Poker by
  46. using the Program Manager's File | Run option.  For instance,
  47. if you put the Super Video Poker files in \SVP, you would select the
  48. File | Run option and specify \SVP\SVPOKER.EXE as the command line.

  50. To install Super Video Poker into a Program Group start Windows and
  51. use the Program Manager's File | New option to add SVPOKER.EXE.   For
  52. example, you might 1) select a Program Group (for example, Games),
  53. 2) from the Program Manager's File | New option select Program Item,
  54. 3) specify SVPOKER.EXE as the command line, and 4) specify its
  55. directory (for example, \SVP) as the working directory.

  58. ON-LINE HELP
  59.  
  60. There is further documentation and help information available once you
  61. are running Super Video Poker.  There is both a standard help menu and
  62. context-sensitive help.

  65. SOUNDS
  66.  
  67. If you have the Windows 3.1 PC-speaker sound driver installed (available
  68. for free on many BBS's), the sound effects will play through your PC's
  69. speaker, however, the sound effects sound much better with a sound card.
  70. Be sure to have your sound card's Windows driver installed.

  73. REGISTRATION
  74.  
  75. Super Video Poker for Windows is not a free program; it is copyrighted
  76. and distributed as Shareware.  You may try the program for up to thirty
  77. days for free, but if you decide to keep it, you must register the
  78. program.  A registration reminder notice is displayed every time you
  79. run the unregistered version of the program.

  81. The unregistered version of Super Video Poker for Windows is not
  82. "crippleware."  It is full featured and functionally identical to the
  83. registered version except for the reminder notice.

  86. HOW TO REGISTER
  87.  
  88. A copy of the registration form is in the file REGFORM.TXT.  It may
  89. be printed from DOS or by using the "File | Print" function in Windows
  90. Notepad or Windows Write.  The registration form may also be printed
  91. from the game's help facility.  To register, complete the registration
  92. form and mail it with a check for $15 (U.S. funds only) to:

  98. If you cannot print the registration form, simply send a note with
  99. your name, mailing address, and preferred diskette size, 3.5" (720 K)
  100. or 5.25" (1.2M), with your $15.

  102. You will receive a registered copy of the latest version of the program
  103. with the reminder notice turned off.  Delivery is by U.S. mail.  You
  104. will also be eligible for and notified of free updates, possibly
  105. subject to a small shipping and handling cost.

  110. Super Video Poker for Windows is a copyrighted program.  You may not
  111. change nor modify the executable file nor any of the documentation
  112. files in any way.   You may not disassemble nor reverse-engineer
  113. the program.  You may freely distribute this program as long as all
  114. files are included and no money is charged.  A small copying fee not
  115. exceeding $10 US may be charged.
