- Welcome to the 24 Hours in Cyberspace CD-ROM
-
- This CD-ROM contains the complete 24 Hours in Cyberspace
- World Wide Web site, a "digital time capsule" that includes
- more than 160 stories about how cyberspace is having an
- impact on the lives of people all over the world. Also on
- this CD-ROM is a 12-minute QuickTime(TM) movie from ABC-TV's
- "Nightline," which chronicles the making of 24 Hours in
- Cyberspace. We suggest you watch this fascinating report
- prior to viewing the website, since it will give you an idea
- of how millions of people around the world took part in the
- largest one-day online event in history.
-
- Everything you need to experience the 24 Hours in Cyberspace
- World Wide Web site is contained on this CD-ROM. You do not
- need a modem or an Internet account. If you do have Internet
- access, however, there are links at the end of each of the
- stories on the CD-ROM that will take you from your computer,
- via the Internet, to the people or places featured in these
- stories. Look for the Related Site button, which will take
- you to appropriate website, newsgroup, or email address.
-
- If you have a modem and you'd like to open an Internet
- account, we have included software on this CD-ROM that
- allows you to set up your own personal Internet account and
- be online in minutes.
-
- If you are currently a member of a commercial online service
