  8. CVLT OF OSIRIS presents a SirTech press kit disc from ECTS 1997. Dates to 
  9. 1997-07-23. 
  10.  
  11. This disc includes some of the most extensive material known to exist related 
  12. to SirTech's cancelled isometric science fiction title XFire:
  13.  
  14. * A 3:42 video that seems to be the entire opening FMV for the game. The last 
  15.   1/3 of the video includes placeholder/storyboard elements.
  16. * A 1:21 video featuring elements of FMVs and gameplay.
  17. * A large amount of concept art, rendered images, and comparisons
  18. * In-game screenshots

  20. The screenshots include a Photoshop mock-up of the installer, with an 
  21. alternative title for the game in a hidden layer: "Eclipse: Shattered Empire".

  23. Thank you to Nex for performing extensive research on XFire for this release! 
  24. It looks to have been a great combination of fast action and squad combat. 
  25. Maybe someday a true hero will uncover a playable build.

  31. Most of the material on the disc is related to XFire, and the files are not 
  32. organized by title, but the disc also includes content related to two other 
  33. in-progress SirTech titles that would remain unreleased for years to come, 
  34. making this disc an even greater treasury for fans of cut content:

  36. At least nine images (screenshots and concept art) are related to Wizardry 8, 
  37. which would not be released until more than four years after this disc was 
  38. created. The structure and style match the game that was eventually released, 
  39. but it seems that all of the artwork for Wizardry 8 was redone in the 
  40. intervening period.

  42. At least four isometric screen shots are from a very early build of Jagged 
  43. Alliance 2 - almost two years before the game was released.

  45. The disc also includes quite a few photos of SirTech staff.
  46.  
  47. CVLT OF OSIRIS obtained two disks with identical content. This release 
  48. includes the Redump data for both discs, with matching hashes.
