  6.    RELEASE 1.1 INFORMATION
  7.         This release 1.1 of DRIVES.  Drives will now save default information
  8.         in an .INI file if you choose.  The INI file will be created in your windows
  9.         directory and is called LYWHIT.INI.  Check the item 'Save Options'
  10.         under the 'Options...' menu to save your defaults when you end DRIVES.
  11.         The options that you can save are the 'Update Rate...' and 'Icon Is...'.
  12.  
  13.         Please note that our original download readme files for verison 1.0 had
  14.         an incorrect ZIP CODE for our address.  The correct one is included here.

  16.         Please send us a measely $1.00 for your vote to keep sending these
  17.         utilities and register the product.

  19.    DRIVES  INFORMATION
  20.  
  21.      DRIVES is a Windows 3.0 Application that can display the following
  22.      information:
  23.  
  24.             - The fixed disk drives on your system  with:
  25.                      -  The amount of total space on the disk.
  26.                      -  The amount of used space on the disk.
  27.                      -  The amount of free space on the disk.
  28.                      -  The percent of free space on the disk.
  29.  
  30.             - Information on each disk is also available with the following:
  31.                      -   The total number of clusters.
  32.                      -   The availavle cluster.
  33.                      -   Sectors per cluster.
  34.                      -   Bytes per Sector.

  37.      DRIVES can also display the following information in an Icon:

  39.             - The drive letter and the amount of free space as a percent and in K.

  42.    USING  DRIVES
  43.  
  44.      DRIVES has two ICONS available for you to choose from the
  45.      properties menu. These ICONS are the LyWhit Software logo and
  46.      DRIVES. You can choose the ICON that displays the picture that
  47.      best describes what you want to use DRIVES for.
  48.  
  49.      When DRIVES is started the box will appear at the top left corner of
  50.      the display and will display all the drives and space for each drive.
  51.  
  52.      DRIVES has two main menu options: "Options" and "Help".
  53.  
  54.      Help has three choices for "Exit", "About" and "Help". "Exit" will
  55.      terminate and "About" will display the version number of DRIVES.
  56.      "Help" will display a message that will tell you to read this file
  57.      On-line help will be implemented with the next version of DRIVES.

  59.      The Options menu has four choices:  "Update Rate..." , "Icon
  60.      is..." ,"Drive info...." and "Save Options...".

  62.      "Update Rate" will allow you to change the rate at which DRIVES
  63.      updates its information. The times range from .10 seconds to 60
  64.      seconds.  The default rate is .10 seconds.

  66.      "Icon is" will allow you to choose what DRIVES will display  when it
  67.      is an ICON. The choices are each drive that you have on your system.
  68.      The default choice is Drive C:.
  69.  
  70.      When you minimize DRIVES to an ICON it will display the drive you
  71.      requested in the ICON. This number will continue to be updated at
  72.      the Update Rate that you selected.  When the DRIVES  ICON is enlarged
  73.      all the information will be displayed once again.

  75.       "Drive Info..." gives you more information about that disk in a box.
  76.       Double clicking the line of the drive on the main screen will perform this
  77.       function as well.

  79.      "Save Options..."  allows you to save your default options in the
  80.       'LYWHIT.INI' file  when you exit DRIVES.

  83.  COMMAND LINE
  84.  
  85.      You can also pass command line options to DRIVES. This command line
  86.      option tells DRIVES which disk you want to see in the icon.
  87.      The default is Drive C:.  Use the / and the drive letter for your choice.

  89.      Example:   DRIVES.EXE /D  will default the "Icon is..,." to Drive D:.

  100.      We are releasing TASKS and DRIVES into Shareware at the same time.
  101.      We are asking for One Dollar for each of these programs. We are
  102.      considering this a type of Vote. If we receive $200 nationwide we
  103.      will consider it a YES vote to Windows utilities. If we don't
  104.      receive $200 nationwide for these two programs we will consider it
  105.      a NO vote to Windows Utilities If we can't get 200 people to send
  106.      in $1 across the whole country then we will consider the interest
  107.      to be too low to justify writing any more programs.

  109.      If the vote is YES we will attempt to release 10 utilities for
  110.      Windows 3.0 over the next year.  We will ask for One Dollar apiece
  111.      for these utilities or $10 for all of them. These will include
  112.      Program Launch, Memory Management and various other utilities.
  113.      Currently available Windows Utilities for 3.0 are selling for over
  114.      $100.

  130.                          the  Dialog Box that displayed the Total and Available Clusters
  131.                          on drives larger than 32 Meg.  Added percent free to the screen
