  5. The folders program adds depth to the Program Manager groups.  It gives the
  6. ability equivalent to having groups within groups.  Each folder can hold
  7. any type of file you decide to place in it, including more folders.
  8.  
  9. Features include:
  10.   - Add any type of item to a folder
  11.   - Move or copy items from folder to folder
  12.   - Launch your applications directly from a folder
  13.   - Customizable command lines for any item
  14.   - Icon representation of items in folder
  15.   - Tie two or more folders to the same subfolder
  16.   - Infinite depth of folders (at least up to the number
  17.     of folders supported)

  19. Installation:
  20.   1. Copy the files FOLDERS.EXE, FOLDERS.HLP and FOLDERS.INI to your
  21.      windows directory.
  22.   2. Run FINSTALL and follow its directions.
  23.   3. That's it.  Your are now ready to start getting organized.

  25.   If this installation process should fail, follow the directions for
  26.   manual install found in FOLDERS.WRI.

  28. Getting Started:
  29.   1. Once the program is installed, open your first folder.
  30.   2. You can rename it, if you want, using the name command under the FILE
  31.      menu.  Be sure and rename it in the program group, too.
  32.   3. From this folder, or any folder you create, you can make new folders.
  33.      Simply choose new from the FILE menu.  You can create subfolders or
  34.      new group level folders such as this first folder.
  35.   4. Create whatever folders you want and add items to them using the
  36.      add command from the EDIT menu.  For detail information on each 
  37.      command, use either the help menu or read FOLDERS.WRI.
  38.   5. A word of warning on creating new folders.  Each folder needs to have
  39.      a unique name.  Lower or upper case makes no difference.

  48.   FLD0000.FL0  - empty folder for use in manual install

  51. Note that this is a shareware program.  As such, this version only supports
  52. fifteen folders.  Registering this program gets you a version that supports
  53. well over a hundred folders.  Pay a twenty dollar fee and get the next 
  54. version free or pay fifteen dollars, in which case the next version will 
  55. cost ten dollars.  Be sure and specify your name, address,the name of the 
  56. program and the version number when registering.
