  1. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
  2.  
  3. Daily Gold provides a refreshing spiritual uplift each time it is run.  With
  4. Daily Gold, a Bible verse, Bible trivia question and calendar are just a mouse
  5. click away.  Bible verses are from the New International Version.
  6.  
  7. REQUIREMENTS
  8.  
  9. You must have either the runtime version or full version of Toolbook from
  10. Asymetrix to run this program.  At the present time (December, 1990) the
  11. runtime version of Toolbook is included with Windows 3.0.
  12.  
  13. You must also have the hardware necessary to run Windows 3.0:
  14. an 80286 or better, a hard drive, mouse, etc.  See a Windows manual if more
  15. information is necessary.

  17. RUNNING DAILY GOLD
  18.  
  19. To run Daily Gold, you will first need to install it.  Insert the program disk
  20. in the A> drive and at the A:> prompt type "install" (no quotes) and hit
  21. the <enter> key.  This will run a batch file which will create the directory
  22. c:\daygold on your hard drive and then copy the program files to it.  If you
  23. want the program to be in a different directory, do not use the install.bat
  24. file.  Instead, create the directory yourself, and then copy all the files
  25. from the Daily Gold distribution disk to that directory.  One way to do this
  26. is to use the file manager in Windows 3.
  27.  
  28. After you're done installing the program, there are several ways to launch it.
  29. My favorite is this: go to the c:\ root directory or to the c:\windows
  30. directory and then start Windows with this command:
  31. win c:\daygold\daygold.tbk
  32. Enter the command exactly as shown.  If you have installed Daily Gold in a
  33. different drive or directory, or if you have Windows 3.0 in a different place,
  34. make adjustments accordingly.  When you're done with the program, don't close
  35. it but select minimize from the control panel (The bar at the upper left hand
  36. corner of the program window.) Then Daily Gold will become an icon at the
  37. bottom of the screen, ready to be opened any time you want to double click it.
  38. The last applies to all the methods of opening the program.
  39.  
  40. A second way to launch Daily Gold is to use the Windows file manager.  Select
  41. the file manager icon, the c: drive, the \daygold subdirectory, and then the
  42. file daygold.tbk.  (Double click the mouse to select.)
  43.  
  44. A third way to launch Daily Gold is from the Windows Program manager.  Select
  45. file run from the menu, and then type c:\daygold\daygold.tbk in the input
  46. window, and click OK.
  47.  
  48. A fourth way to launch Daily Gold is to open it from the file menu of another
  49. Toolbook program.
  50.  
  51. A fifth, and probably the best way to do it, although you must be sure of what
  52. you're doing, is to open the win.ini file with notepad and include the
  53. statement "load = c:\daygold\daygold.tbk" in the appropriate location.  This
  54. way Daily Gold will become a permanent part of your Windows environment.

  58.  
  59. This program is shareware.  Please consult the Daily Gold menu item "Register"
  60. for information about registering the program.

  62. TROUBLE-SHOOTING
  63.  
  64. If Windows gives you an error statement saying that some file was not found,
  65. make sure that the path statement in your autoexec.bat file includes
  66. "c:\toolbook" or whatever directory your Toolbook files are in.
