  1.     Most Windows programs are compiled in a Real Mode Version.  The
  2.     Real mode version (I called Variable Mode in the About Box)
  3.     allows the program to operate in all 3 Windows Modes: Real,
  4.     Standard, and Enhanced (386).
  5.  
  6.     Windows will run a 286 compiled version, but it will run only
  7.     in the Standard and Enhanced (386) Modes.

  9.     Therefore, to get the best:
  10.  
  11.     I Compiled a 286 version named ARCHV286.EXE.  Do not rename this
  12.     program.   Run this version if you never run Archives
  13.     while Windows is in the REAL mode.  This version will run in both
  14.     Standard & Enhanced Modes of windows (PROTECTED).  It is slightly
  15.     smaller, and slightly faster to run versus the REAL mode version.
  16.     This version will require the user to be registered before it
  17.     will run.  ARSET286.EXE is used to configure this program.
  18.     Additionally, do not rename ARSET286.EXE.

  20.     The Beta testers can use the Either the REAL Mode version or the 
  21.     PROTECTED Mode version.  You cannot use both programs at the
  22.     same time!!!!!!!!  Windows will terminate because they have
  23.     the same windclass name (technical jargon).
