  7. Windows WinStart is a shareware created by ALLTY SYSTEMS INC.
  8. You are welcome to use it.  If you like the software and the
  9. convenience it brings to you, you can support our effort of

  16. A. Installation
  17.  
  18. 1. Copy 'WINSTART.EXE', 'WSINST.EXE' and 'WSINST.TXT' to your
  19.    Windows subdirectory, (e.g. C:\WINDOWS).
  20. 2. Start Windows.
  21. 3. After Program Manager is loaded, select Program Manager's menu
  22.    item - File - New.
  23. 4. Select 'Program Item' and click OK to add a new item to the
  24.    program group.
  25. 5. In Command Line, enter 'WSINST.EXE' and click OK.
  26. 6. You will see a new icon added to your program group. The
  27.    WinStart utility program installation is now completed.
  28. 7. To configure the applications you want to load during Windows'
  29.    startup, just double click on this icon.

  32. B. File Setup

  34. FILENAME
  35.  
  36. The file name of the application you want to load automatically.
  37. You can either type in the name directly from keyboard or you can
  38. select an application by clicking on the file name.

  40. DIRECTORY
  41.  
  42. You can switch to another sub-directory to look for applications
  43. by double clicking the sub-directory name or disk drive name in
  44. this box.

  46. PROGRAM NAME
  47.  
  48. The list of applications you have added to the loading list will
  49. be displayed here. You can select an application item to modify
  50. its loading style or its loading sequence.

  52. OK button

  54. When the OK button is clicked, WinStart Installer will store the
  55. selection you made to WIN.INI so that next time when you start
  56. the Windows, the applications you selected will be loaded
  57. automatically.

  59. CANCEL button

  61. Click the CANCEL button if you decide not to change anything.

  65. After you select or enter a file name, click on this button to add
  66. the application you selected to the program name box.

  68. MODIFY button

  70. To change the loading style or the loading sequence of an
  71. application, select the application in the program name box and
  72. click on this button. A dialog box will pop up for you to modify.

  77. Remove an application from the program name box if you decide not
  78. to load that application during Windows startup.

  81. C. Configure the applications
  82.  
  83. You can decide the sequence in which the applications will be
  84. loaded, and whether the application will be iconized or
  85. maximized after being loaded.

  87. You do so by selecting an application in the program name box and
  88. click on the MODIFY button.

  90. After you click on the MODIFY button, the configure application
  91. dialog box will pop up. Following are the things you can do:

  93. PROGRAM NAME:

  95. You can remove the directory path of the application if this file
  96. resides in one of the sub-directories in the DOS 'PATH'. Or you
  97. can change to a completely different file name.

  99. PROGRAM LOADING STYLE:

  101. You can decide if you want to load this application iconized,
  102. maximized, or in regular form by clicking on the style you want.

  104. LOADING SEQUENCE:
  105.  
  106. You can change the loading sequence of the selected application by
  107. changing the number in this box.
