  1.     The table in this file contains the time it takes for versions of WinJPEG
  2. and versions of ColorView to display arbitrarily selected JPEG files.  The
  3. configuration of the system that was used to obtain these figures is as
  4. follows:

  37.    1,3,5,7      2-pass quantization(Heckbert), dithering on,

  43. Both versions of WinJPEG are compiled for 8088/8086 machines but at least an
  44. 80286 is recommended.

  46.     To avoid disk cache hits that would affect the timing, I didn't load one
  47. image, change the memory option, and load the same image again.  I loaded a
  48. sequence of different JPEG images, changed the memory option, and loaded the
  49. sequence of images again.
