  22.  We've been cleaning up the last few remaining bugs in WinEdit and
  23.  adding a few features.  Wordwrap has finally made it in.  Enjoy.

  25.  Both the setup program and WinEdit are now "Protect-Mode" only
  26.  applications.  Neither will run in Windows 3.0 real mode.

  34.  Unlicensed copies of WinEdit have a pesky registration 
  35.  reminder screen that pops up whenever you start the program.

  84.                HOW TO INSTALL WINEDIT

  88.         1) Close down all extraneous Windows applications.  
  89.            (You do have to be in Windows to run SETUP-WE.EXE)

  91.         2) Double-Click on the SETUP-WE.EXE program.

  93.         3) When the setup program asks for a directory, specify initial 
  94.            directory, or accept the given default (C:\WINEDIT).

  103.  WINAPA forum, in the Wilson WindowWare section (#15 currently).  Also
  104.  the latest and greatest downloads are available from DL15 of the
  105.  WINAPA forum.  The Wilson WindowWare section of the WINAPA forum
  106.  is checked on a daily basis, and all questions will be responded to.

  135.  SOFTWARE LICENSE

  137.  WinEdit is not and has never been public domain 
  138.  software, nor is it free software. 
  139.  
  140.  Non-licensed users are granted a limited license to use WinEdit
  141.  on a 21-day trial basis for the purpose of determining 
  142.  whether WinEdit is suitable for their needs.  The use 
  143.  of WinEdit, except for the initial 21-day trial, 
  144.  requires registration.  The use of unlicensed copies of WinEdit,
  145.  outside of the initial 21-day trial, by any person, 
  146.  business, corporation, government agency or any other entity is 
  147.  strictly prohibited.

  149.  A single user license permits a user to use WinEdit
  150.  only on a single computer.  Licensed users may use the
  151.  program on different computers, but may not use the program
  152.  on more than one computer at the same time.

  154.  No one may modify or patch the WinEdit executable files 
  155.  in any way,  including but not limited to decompiling, 
  156.  disassembling, or otherwise reverse engineering the program.

  158.  A limited license is granted to copy and distribute WinEdit

  162.   1)    WinEdit must be copied in unmodified form, complete

  182.         B) Vendors of user-supported or shareware software approved by
  183.            the ASP may distribute WinEdit, subject to the
  184.            above conditions, without specific permission.  Non-
  185.            approved vendors may distribute Windows Reminder only after
  186.            obtaining written permission from Wilson WindowWare.
  187.            Such permission is usually granted.  Please write for
  188.            details (enclose your catalog).  Vendors may charge a
  189.            disk duplication and handling fee, which, when pro-rated
  190.            to the WinEdit product, may not exceed eight dollars.

  192.         C) Non-profit user groups may distribute copies of the 
  193.            WinEdit diskette to their members, subject to 
  194.            the above conditions, without specific permission.  
  195.            Non-profit groups may collect a disk duplication fee 
  196.            not to exceed five dollars.

  198.   LIMITED WARRANTY

  200.   Wilson WindowWare guarantees your satisfaction with this
  201.   product for a period of 90 days from the date of original
  202.   purchase.  If you are unsatisfied with WinEdit
  203.   within that time period, return the package in saleable
  204.   condition to the place of purchase for a full refund.

  206.   Wilson WindowWare warrants that all disks provided are
  207.   free from defects in material and workmanship, assuming
  208.   normal use, for a period of 90 days from the date of
  209.   purchase.

  211.   Wilson WindowWare warrants that the program will perform
  212.   in substantial compliance with the documentation supplied
  213.   with the software product.  If a significant defect in
  214.   the product is found, the Purchaser may return the
  215.   product for a refund.  In no event will such a refund
