  22.  This new version of WinCheck, having been through the mill quite a
  23.  few times, finally appears to be at the bug free state we've been
  24.  dreaming of for quite some time.
  25.  
  26.  For those of you who have been with us since the inception of WinCheck,
  27.  we conquered the embarrassing "What!!?? It can't add bug", the infamous
  28.  "Details file" bug, the "Split Transaction UAE bug", and an incredibly
  29.  long series of ankle-biter bugs.
  30.  
  31.  If you are new to WinCheck, just be thankful of all the pain and
  32.  anguish your predecessors have endured waiting for WinCheck to become
  33.  the first-rate product it is now.
  34.  
  35.  Complete disk-based documentation is available in the installation
  36.  directory as WINCHECK.TXT.  It is too large to view with the NotePad
  37.  editor.  You can use Windows Write (be sure to select the Courier Font
  38.  to make the Tabs come out correctly), the file Browser that comes with
  39.  Command Post, WSmooth from PC Magazine, or actually most DOS based
  40.  file viewers.    Just copy the file to your printer to print it.  For
  41.  Example, copy it to LPT1 from File Manager.  Or from the DOS (I know,
  42.  I know) prompt:

  49.                  REGISTRATION REMINDERS

  51.  Unlicensed copies of WinCheck are 100% fully functional.

  53.  Unlicensed copies of WinCheck have a pesky registration reminder screen
  54.  that pops up whenever you start the program.  Thats it!

  56.  We're not going to beat you about the head and shoulders with our
  57.  reminder screens.  We're sure that once you see the incredible quality
  58.  of our software, you will dig out your credit card, pick up the phone,
  59.  call the nice people at our 800 number and register WinCheck.

  111.            HOW TO INSTALL WINCHECK

  114.  Use our SETUP.EXE program, which will copy the files for you and install 
  115.  a WINCHECK group in the program manager with a TUT (Tutorial) account.
  116.  To use our SETUP.EXE program...   (Manual install instructions below)

  118.    1) Close down all extraneous Windows applications.

  120.    2) Double-Click on the SETUP.EXE program
  121.  
  122.    3) When the setup program asks for a directory, specify initial directory,
  123.       or accept the given default (C:\WINCHECK).

  128.                     ON-LINE SUPPORT

  130.  WinCheck has on-line support on a number of computer systems.

  132.  First of all, the home of WinCheck is on Compuserve, in the
  133.  WINAPA forum, in the Wilson WindowWare section (#15 currently).  Also
  134.  the latest and greatest downloads are available from DL15 of the
  135.  WINAPA forum.  The Wilson WindowWare section of the WINAPA forum
  136.  is checked on a daily basis, and all questions will be responded to.

  138.  The FidoNet Windows echomail conference is also monitored for Windows
  139.  questions in general.    Questions about Windows and WinCheck will
  140.  be answered in the echo.

  175.  WinCheck is not and has never been public domain
  176.  software, nor is it free software.
  177.  
  178.  Non-licensed users are granted a limited license to use
  179.  WinCheck on a 21-day trial basis for the purpose of
  180.  determining whether WinCheck is suitable for their
  181.  needs.  The use of WinCheck, except for the initial
  182.  21-day trial, requires registration.  The use of
  183.  unlicensed copies of WinCheck, outside of the initial
  184.  21-day trial, by any person, business, corporation, 
  185.  government agency or any other entity is strictly prohibited.

  187.  A single user license permits a user to use WinCheck
  188.  only on a single computer.  Licensed users may use the
  189.  program on different computers, but may not use the program
  190.  on more than one computer at the same time.

  192.  No one may modify or patch the WinCheck executable
  193.  files in any way,  including but not limited to
  194.  decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise reverse
  195.  engineering the program.

  197.  A limited license is granted to copy and distribute

  201.   1)    WinCheck must be copied in unmodified form, complete

  217.            time-dependent charge for the use of the bulletin board

  219.        charge for the download of WinCheck.

  221.         B) Vendors of user-supported or shareware software approved by
  222.        the ASP may distribute WinCheck, subject to the
  223.            above conditions, without specific permission.  Non-
  224.        approved vendors may distribute WinCheck only after
  225.            obtaining written permission from Wilson WindowWare.
  226.            Such permission is usually granted.  Please write for
  227.            details (enclose your catalog).  Vendors may charge a
  228.            disk duplication and handling fee, which, when pro-rated
  229.        to the WinCheck product, may not exceed eight dollars.

  231.     C) Non-profit user groups may distribute copies of the WinCheck
  232.        diskette to their members, subject to the above conditions,
  233.        without specific permission.  Non-profit groups may collect
  234.        a disk duplication fee not to exceed five dollars.

  238.   Wilson WindowWare guarantees your satisfaction with this
  239.   product for a period of 60 days from the date of original
  240.   purchase.  If you are unsatisfied with WinCheck
  241.   within that time period, return the package in saleable
  242.   condition to the place of purchase for a full refund.

  244.   Wilson WindowWare warrants that all disks provided are
  245.   free from defects in material and workmanship, assuming
  246.   normal use, for a period of 60 days from the date of
  247.   purchase.

  249.   Wilson WindowWare warrants that the program will perform
  250.   in substantial compliance with the documentation supplied
  251.   with the software product.  If a significant defect in
  252.   the product is found, the Purchaser may return the
  253.   product for a refund.  In no event will such a refund
  254.   exceed the purchase price of the product.

  256.   EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, WILSON WINDOWWARE DISCLAIMS ALL
