  25. INSTALLING CLOCKMAN
  26. ====================
  27. Installing ClockMan is simple:
  28.  
  29. 1) Run SETUP.EXE.  Setup will let you choose the destina-
  30.    tion directory and which parts of the ClockMan package
  31.    you wish to install (i.e. program files only, .HLP file,
  32.    updated CLOCKMAN.INI file, etc.).
  33.  
  34. 2) Run CLOCKMAN.EXE.  It comes with an alarm file already
  35.    filled with sample alarms for you to try.
  36.  
  37. 3) Choose Help from the System menu to read our comprehen-
  38.    sive online manual.

  41. PACKING LIST
  42. ============
  43. Your ClockMan distribution diskette contains the following
  44. files:
  45.  
  46. SETUP.EXE     The ClockMan setup program.
  47. SETUP.INF     A configuration file for SETUP.EXE.
  48. V1.0b         A placeholder file that identifies the
  49.               current version.
  50. CLOKREAD.TXT  This file.
  51. CLOK-CHG.TXT  A list of enhancements and bugfixes since the
  52.               last release.
  53. CLOCKMAN.INI  The default ClockMan .INI file.  Contains
  54.               alarm tune definitions.
  55. SAMPLES.ALR   A ClockMan alarm file, filled with sample
  56.               alarms.
  57.

  60. JSTART.EX$    JumpStart - a handy little thank-you utility

  109.                        EVALUATION AGREEMENT
  110. ===========================================================
  111. ClockMan is not and has never been public domain software,
  112. nor is it free software.
  113.  
  114. Non-licensed users are granted a limited license to use
  115. ClockMan on a 30-day trial basis for the purpose of deter-
  116. mining whether ClockMan is suitable for their needs.  The
  117. use of ClockMan, except for the initial 30-day trial,
  118. requires registration.  The use of unlicensed copies of
  119. ClockMan by any person, business, corporation, government
  120. agency or any other entity is strictly prohibited.
  121.  
  122. A single user license permits a user to use ClockMan only
  123. on a single computer at a time.
  124.  
  125. No one may modify or patch the ClockMan executable files in
  126. any way, including but not limited to decompiling, disas-
  127. sembling, or otherwise reverse engineering the program.
  128.  
  129. A limited license is granted to copy and distribute
  130. ClockMan only for the trial use of others, subject to the
  131. above limitations, and also the following:
  132.  
  133. 1) ClockMan must be copied in unmodified form, complete
  134.    with the file containing this license information.
  135.  
  136. 2) The full machine-readable ClockMan documentation must be
  137.    included with each copy.
  138.  
  139. 3) ClockMan may not be distributed in conjunction with any
  140.    other product without a specific license to do so from
  141.    Graphical Dynamics.
  142.  
  143. 4) No fee, charge, or other compensation may be requested
  144.    or accepted, except as authorized below:
  145.  
  146.    A) Operators of electronic bulletin board systems
  147.       (sysops) may make ClockMan available for downloading
  148.       as long as the above conditions are met.  An overall
  149.       or time-dependent charge for the use of the bulletin
  150.       board system is permitted as long as there is not a
  151.       specific charge for the download of ClockMan.
  152.  
  153.    B) Vendors of user-supported or shareware software
  154.       approved by the ASP may distribute ClockMan, subject
  155.       to the above conditions, without specific permission.
  156.       Non-approved vendors may distribute ClockMan only
  157.       after obtaining written permission from Graphical
  158.       Dynamics.  Such permission is usually granted.
  159.       Vendors may charge a reasonable disk duplication and
  160.       handling fee.

  164.                WARRANTIES AND DISCLAIMERS

  167. LIMITED WARRANTY
  168. ================
  169. Graphical Dynamics guarantees your satisfaction with this
  170. product for a period of 90 days from the date of original
  171. purchase.  If you are unsatisfied with ClockMan within that
  172. time period, return the package in saleable condition to
  173. the place of purchase for a full refund.  Graphical
  174. Dynamics warrants that all disks provided are free from
  175. defects in material and workmanship, assuming normal use,
  176. for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase.
  177.  
  178. Graphical Dynamics warrants that the program will perform
  179. in substantial compliance with the documentation supplied
  180. with the software product.  If a significant defect in the
  181. product is found, the Purchaser may return the product for
  182. a refund.  In no event will such a refund exceed the
  183. purchase price of the product.
  184.  
  185. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, GRAPHICAL DYNAMICS DISCLAIMS ALL
  186. WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT
  187. LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND
  188. FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH RESPECT TO THE
  189. PRODUCT.  SHOULD THE PROGRAM PROVE DEFECTIVE, THE PURCHASER
  190. ASSUMES THE RISK OF PAYING THE ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY
  191. SERVICING, REPAIR, OR CORRECTION AND ANY INCIDENTAL OR CON-
  192. SEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.  IN NO EVENT WILL GRAPHICAL DYNAMICS BE
  193. LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMIT-
  194. ATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTER-
  195. RUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION AND THE LIKE) ARISING
  196. OUT OF THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT EVEN IF
  197. GRAPHICAL DYNAMICS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF
  198. SUCH DAMAGES.  THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC
  199. LEGAL RIGHTS.  YOU MAY HAVE OTHERS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE
  200. TO STATE.

  202. Use of this product for any period of time constitutes your
  203. acceptance of this agreement and subjects you to its
  204. contents.  This agreement is governed by the laws of the
  205. State of Washington.

  207. U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS

  209. This product is provided with restricted rights.  Use,
  210. duplication, or disclosure by the government is subject to
  211. restrictions set forth in subdivision (c)(1)(ii) of the
  212. Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at
  213. 48 CFR 252.227-7013, or in subdivision (c)(1) and (2) of
  214. the Commercial Computer Software--Restricted Rights clause
  215. at 48 CFR 52.27-19, as applicable.  The contractor/
