  1. DEFINITION OF SHAREWARE

  3. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software
  4. before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue
  5. using it, you are expected to register. OFF THE WALL SOFTWARE,
  6. (Theodore F. Wall) requires you to register this application
  7. after you continue to use ARCHIVES for a maximum of 30 days.
  8. With registration, you get the right to use ARCHIVES without
  9. the "Please Register Screens", and the right to update to
  10. future versions of ARCHIVES in the Windows 3.0 or 3.1
  11. environment.  Major upgrades to Windows that require a
  12. significant change to ARCHIVES may require an additional
  13. nominal registration fee to current ARCHIVES registration
  14. holders if they want to use the major upgrade version.

  16. Shareware has the ultimate money-back guarantee -- if you
  17. don't use the product, you don't pay for it.

  31. ARCHIVES is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge
  32. to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your
  33. friends, and copy to bulletin boards, but do not give it away
  34. altered or as part of another system.

  36. If you find this program useful and find that you are using
  37. ARCHIVES and continue to use ARCHIVES after a reasonable trial
  38. period of no more than 30 days, then you must make a
  39. registration payment of $35 to OFF THE WALL SOFTWARE.  The $35
  40. registration fee will license one copy for use on any one
  41. computer at any one time.  You must treat this software just like
  42. a book.  An example is that this software may be used by any
  43. number of people and may be freely moved from one computer
  44. location to another, so long as there is no possibility of it
  45. being used at one location while it's being used at another.
  46. Just as a book cannot be read by two different persons at the
  47. same time.

  49. Commercial users of ARCHIVES must register and pay for their
  50. copies of ARCHIVES within 30 days of first use or their license
  51. is withdrawn.  Site-License arrangements may be made by
  52. contacting OFF THE WALL SOFTWARE.

  54. Anyone distributing ARCHIVES for any kind of remuneration must
  55. first contact OFF THE WALL SOFTWARE at the address below for
  56. authorization.  This authorization will be automatically
  57. granted to distributors recognized by the (ASP) as adhering to
  58. its guidelines for shareware distributors, and such distributors
  59. may begin offering ARCHIVES immediately (However OFF THE WALL
  60. SOFTWARE must still be advised so that the distributor can be
  61. kept up-to-date with the latest version of ARCHIVES.).
