- THANK YOU to all of the people who have supported the development
- of Almanac for Windows! To all of you who have sent me your
- suggestions (and problems) - to all of you who have patiently
- worked close with beta testing and debugging, and last but not
- least, to all of you who have sent in your registrations, my
- warmest gratitude for your support and encouragement!
-
- Version 1.0 is now in sight. I have decided that it is imperative
- to establish a 1.0 release that is well documented and, of course,
- completely stable. Versions released after 1.0 will be not be
- made available until an organized beta group has completed thorough
- testing. I anticipate version 1.0 being available in mid to late
- August. Version 1.1 will be a Windows 3.0 ONLY version, and should
- be available in September or early October. Subsequent versions
- will add major enhancements which exploit the capabilities of the
- Windows environment by integrating applications, networking and more!
-
- As stated in all license requests, all current registrations will be
- honored for all future shareware releases of Almanac for Windows.
- Beginning with version 1.0, new licensing options will be available
- which will include: (1) a packaged release complete with disks
- and user manual, (2) options for upgrade notification, and (3)
- discount options for volume agreements.
-
- I expect to continue to provide a 'license only' option at a small
- increase in charge for those users who desire to acquire future
- versions from the BBS network or other distribution channels.
-
- Preferred pricing will be available for users who have shown their
- support for Almanac over this development phase. This will be
- limited to options to complement existing license quantities. The
- deadline for purchasing licenses qualified for preferred upgrade
- pricing is September 30, 1990.
-
-
- Let me take this opportunity to let you know that this is not the
- end of a project; it is the beginning of much, MUCH, more to come!
-
-
- Best regards,
- Len Gray
