  2. Each event is a list of DOS commands which perform a function or a few closely
  3. related functions. For example, an event could be defined which runs a group of
  4. daily reports. The DOS commands to run the reports are entered in the same way
  5. that they would be entered at the DOS prompt. Each event has a description
  6. which may be changed from this list.

  8. Use the arrow keys, HOME, END, PgUp, PgDn, and the tab key to move through
  9. the list of events.

  13. These are the functions performed when the following key is pressed:

  15. ESC - Save events and return to DOS.
  16.  
  17. F2 - Edit event
  18.      Add or change the existing DOS commands for the event.
  19.  
  20. F3 - Add event
  21.      Create a new event, and enter the DOS commands.
  22.  
  23. F4 - Delete event
  24.      Delete an existing event. The event selected will be deleted, and the
  25.      file of events associated with the event. EVENTMAN will ask you to
  26.      confirm before the event is deleted.

  28. F5 - Define processes
  29.      Set up processes which use the events defined. A process is a list of
  30.      events which is set to start at the given date and time. A process can
  31.      be set to execute once or to repeat at a given interval.
