                     WELCOME TO CONFIG/AUTOEXEC MANAGER
                     ----------------------------------

  This README file contains important, last minute information about Config/
  Autoexec Manager Version 2.62.

  1. WHY YOU NEED CONFIG/AUTOEXEC MANAGER
  ---------------------------------------
  If you have ever installed a program that modifies or creates its own
  AUTOEXEC.BAT or CONFIG.SYS file, or if you use multiple operating
  environments which require different configuration setups, then you need
  Config/Autoexec Manager.  CAM is designed to help you change your
  configurations without having to keep track of your configurations manually
  or having to worry about where the configurations are located.  CAM does
  all the work for you.  No other configuration management program exists to
  date which will allow you to easily manage these files as efficiently as
  Config/Autoexec Manager.  Config/Autoexec Manager IS THE standard in
  multiple configuration management.  CAM IS MADE FOR YOU, THE END USER.


  2. UPGRADE INFORMATION
  ----------------------
  This release of Config/Autoexec Manager has corrections found in the
  previous version and contains the below enhancements.

     ° Added Read Only Option for Root Directory AUTOEXEC.BAT &
       CONFIG.SYS files
     ° Added Disk Cache Options to flush buffer when disk cache
       is in use
     ° Added Password Option when adding, renaming, editing, or executing
       configurations
     ° Created Upgrade Utility for adding existing configurations from
       prior versions
     ° Improved Installation Utility to upgrade configurations if new
       version is installed into same directory as prior version

  Registered users will receive one (1) major upgrade and fixes at no charge
  whereby future upgrades will be made available at a discounted price.  All
  registered users will be notified by mail upon the release of upgrades.


  3. UPDATING YOUR CURRENT VERSION TO VERSION 2.62
  ------------------------------------------------
  IF YOU ARE UPGRADING FROM VERSION 2.61 - Simply replace the CAM.EXE file
  of version 2.61.  Copy the CAM.EX_ to CAM.EXE in your CAM directory.

  Example: C> COPY A:\CAM.EX_ C:\CAM\CAM.EXE

  Whereby, C:\CAM is your directory where your prior version 2.61 is
  located.

  ALL VERSIONS PRIOR TO VERSION 2.61 -
  Upgraded your current version of CAM to the new version is possible by
  installing the new version directly into the same directory of your
  prior version or by using the upgrade utility included with the new
  version.

  3(a) - Using the Installation Utility to Upgrade from Prior Version
    You can upgrade your prior version with the new version by directly
    installing the new version into the same directory as your prior version.
    To start this procedure, execute the Installation Utility by typing
    INSTALL at the DOS prompt after having Unzipped the new version to its own
    directory or disk.  When the Installation Utility requests the Destination
    Directory, you type in the prior version directory path and name.  The
    Installation Utility will delete all old files associated with the prior
    version and upgrade the Setup and Configuration files to the new version.

  NOTE: Since all programs are NOT failsafe, it is recommended that you create
  an alternate destination directory and copy all files for your prior version
  into that directory and use that directory for installation purposes.  This
  will allow you to quickly restore them if a problem is encountered.

  3(b) - Using the Upgrade Utility to Upgrade from Prior Version
    You can upgrade your prior version of CAM by installing the new version
    into its own directory and then executing the Upgrade Utility by typing
    UPGRADE at the DOS prompt while you are in the new CAM directory.
    The Upgrade Utility will prompt you for the directory of your prior
    version and version type.  The upgrade utility will then convert the
    information in the Setup and Configuration files and copy the prior
    version configurations to the new version directory.  The Upgrade Utility
    can be executed any time after installation and initial execution of the
    new version of CAM.  DO NOT execute the upgrade utility prior to the
    installation and initial execution of the new version of CAM.
