- ANSIT! - ANSI Benchmark version 1.00
- ------------------------------------
- REVISION HISTORY
-
- This is the long and rocky road of ANSIT evolution...
-
-
- Sep-91 ■ Version 0.90α
- First version to reach my beta testers.
-
- Sep-91 ■ Version 0.91ß
- Minor bugfixes and additions.
-
- Oct-91 ■ Version 0.92ß
- Test results are saved to a result file.
- New feature: Two test-programs, one 3 test option, testing ANSI
- sequence handling and one 5 test option including screen output
- speed. Alotta bugfixes.
-
- Nov-91 ■ Version 0.93ß
- Benchmarks calibrated.
- New feature: External test implemented, any ANSI or ASCII file may
- be displayed any number of times and timed.
- This will allow you custom design your own ANSI benchmarks.
-
- Nov-91 ■ Version 0.94ß
- External file timer file size expanded from 64 to 255 Kbytes.
- Ctrl-Break handler implemented.
- I'd let this beta roll for a while so I could get a lot of
- feedback from the beta testers.
-
- Jan-92 ■ Verions 0.95ß
- The beta testers didn't like the setup with two test programs,
- so I took out the 3-test option.
- Added new feature: ANSIT will always set screen mode to C80,
- but will now return to the original screenmode upon exit.
-
- Jan-92 ■ Version 1.00Γ Gamma-1
- A few small adjustments, this was supposed to be the real release.
-
- Feb-92 ■ Version 1.00Γ Gamma-2
- Well, I gotta new compiler, replaced TC++ with Borland C++.
- The Gamma-2 is just a recompiled version of the Gamma-1.
- A few cosmetic changes, no bugs to fix.
-
- Feb-92 ■ Version 1.00Γ Gamma-3
- Added new feature: Auto mode, will allow you to run any combination
- of the five tests from commandline. Useful to other programmers
- developing an ANSI-driver or anything else they want to time.
-
- Feb-92 ■ Version 1.00Γ Gamma-4
- Added another commandline argument /A to run all five tests in
- auto-mode.
- Also modified the animation test (test 3) not to set any colors
- while running, this makes it look a little less pretty, but it's
- alot more accurate.
- Final (hopefully) calibration of test 1, 3, 4 and 5.
-
- Feb-92 ■ Version 1.00Γ Gamma-5
- When I got the new test results from different machines, it became
- apparent that the Index scale 0 - 6 wasn't sufficient.
- On "slow" machines (such as a standard IBM 6 MHz AT) the index
- value was below zero at all times. I've expanded the scale from
- 0 - 6 to 0 - 13. That should do it. Unfortunately this means I've
- have to start all over testing and calibrating.
- My Beta/Gamma-testers hate me already, they're gonna go nuts!
