- MSCMOUSE DRIVER version 6.23
-
- Your Mouse Systems Software package contains two Mouse drivers:
- MSCMOUSE.SYS and MSCMOUSE.COM. The MSCMOUSE.SYS mouse driver can only be
- used in the CONFIG.SYS file where the MSCMOUSE.COM can be used either
- in your AUTOEXEC.BAT or anytime at the DOS prompt.
-
-
- COMMONLY USED COMMAND LINE OPTIONS
-
- The following are common command line parameters to be used with the mouse
- driver. Enter command:
-
- MSCMOUSE <arg>
-
- where <arg> represents one or more of the following:
-
- /1 Direct Mouse Driver to COM1
- /2 Direct Mouse Driver to COM2
- /C Direct Mouse Driver to Bus Card
- /P Direct Mouse Driver to PDP port (IBM PS/2)
- /A0 Disable acceleration and set resolution back to the default

- /? Exercise help parameter list
-
- For example, the following commands will direct the mouse driver to COM2, set
- the mouse acceleration to 8, set the base resolution to 200-DPI (assuming a
- 100-DPI mouse), and disable an application program's ability to set its own
- mouse sensitivity:
-
- 1. In the AUTOEXEC.BAT (or at the command line/DOS prompt):
-
- MSCMOUSE /2/A8/E/I (NOTE!! Could also be: mscmouse /2/a8/e/i)
- or
- \MOUSE\MSCMOUSE /2/A8/E/I
- (If you copy MSCMOUSE.COM to a subdirectory called MOUSE)
-
- 2. In the CONFIG.SYS:
-
- DEVICE=MSCMOUSE.SYS /2/A8/E/I
- or
- DEVICE=\MOUSE\MSCMOUSE.SYS /2/A8/E/I
- (If you copy MSCMOUSE.SYS to a subdirectory called MOUSE)
-
-
- SETTING MANUAL ACCELERATION
-
- To set mouse acceleration manually, press CTRL + ALT + Left Mouse Button. After the beep, release the three keys and press any number 0 - 9 on the
- keyboard. If you do not make a valid selection within 6 to 8 seconds, the
- mouse driver will beep three times and return you to your application with
- the mouse set as before. Otherwise, there will be two beeps and you will
- return to your application with a new acceleration level.
