  5.      Users of RTM 1.00 -> 1.02 must run the new RTMCONVT Program to convert
  6.      the Task File to a new format to support the memo entry / wordwrap
  7.      feature in the attached descriptions. The file length remains unchanged
  8.      and is still compatible with CALRPT/TRV.

  10.      Format is:  C:>RTMCONVT filename.ext

  12.      Input File will be Renamed to filename.BAK;

  21. Getting Started

  23.    The Resident-TaskManager Distribution Disk contains the following files:

  25.    RTM.EXE        - The Resident-TaskManager program
  26.    RTM.DAT        - A Short Help File in Resident-TaskManager Format
  27.    RTM.DOC        - This file
  28.    RTMCONVT.EXE   - A Conversion Program to convert RTM 1.x files to
  29.                     2.0 format.
  30.    RTMINST.EXE    - An installation program
  31.    README         - Changes or important information not included in
  32.                     the printed documentation (RTM.DOC).
  33.    REGISTER.BAT   - A BATch file to print out the registration form
  34.                     to your printer (LPT1)
  35.    REGFORM.DOC    - The actual Registration Form
  36.    PRINTDOC.BAT   - A BATch file to print out this documentation
  37.                     file to your printer (LPT1)
  38.    VENDOR.DOC     - Instructions to Disk Vendors who wish to
  39.                     distribute Resident-TaskManager.

  41.    Copy these files onto your disk into whatever directory you wish.  Then,
  42.    consider how you want to run Resident-TaskManager and set your options
  43.    with the install program.

  45.    Note: Once RTM has been installed you only need RTM.EXE and your Task
  46.    File (filename.DAT) on your disk.

  48. Using The Install Program
  49.  
  50.    To run RTMINST, simply type: C:>RTMINST <cr>
  51.  
  52.    RTMINST will look in the current directory for RTM.EXE.  If it's not
  53.    there, RTMINST will search your currently defined path. If that fails as
  54.    well, RTMINST will end with an error message.
  55.  
  56.    RTMINST presents a data-entry screen showing the name of each
  57.    configurable option and it's current value.  Use the cursor keys to
  58.    scroll through that screen, setting the defaults as you wish. Use the
  59.    <F1> key at any time for a Pop-Up Help box for the current field.

  61. Command Line Options
  62.  
  63.    The ability to change a few options from the command line, as you
  64.    load Resident-TaskManager is provided.  These options are those most
  65.    likely to change on a temporary basis (where you wouldn't want the
  66.    burden of re-running the installation program).

  68.    Typing RTM /? will give a list of the command line options.

  70.    Usage: RTM [Options]

  72.    Options: (Space is required between /O and Parameter)

  74.      /D          {Disk SWAPing TSR}  Specify D:\Path in RTM Install
  75.      /E          {EMS  SWAPing TSR}  If insufficient EMS Defaults to /D
