Use the PgUp/PgDn keys to increment or decrement the current menu level. Press the <ENTER> key to Jump into the specified menu or menu level. The Access Code may contain any combination of the following characters: A..Z, 0..9, Punctuation, Spaces TOL01 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The Purge Invalid Menus Tool Provides a means by which you can erase empty menu data files from your hard disk, without the need to inspect each file for the presence of data. Upon selecting the purge tool, each of the existing menu data files is opened and its contents scanned for valid data. If it is found that valid data exists within the file, the file is ignored and the next file is processed. If it is found that NO valid data is present within the data file, it is immediately erased from your system. TOL02 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The Document Menu Definitions Tool allows you to dump the menu definitions of the currently active menu to the printer. The entire menu definition is printed including all security settings and access codes, so you MUST secure the printouts if you depend on the SYSTEM MASTER security features for your system's integrity. SEC02 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Enter in the Access Level for this Menu Option. The Access Code MUST be within the range 0..99 An Access Code of 0 indicates that anyone knowing the password, if present, may access this option. An Access Code of 99 indicates that only the system controller may access this option under any Circumstances. SEC03 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Enter the Access Code for this Menu Option. The Access Code is not case sensitive. The Access Code may contain any combination of the following characters: A..Z, 0..9, Punctuation, Spaces If the Access Code is nul, the processor ignores the Access Code Input/Verification Procedure. INS01 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Enter a detailed description of the menu option here. You may enter up to 60 characters to describe this option. This description, if entered, is displayed on the 23rd screen line whenever the selection bar is located on that option. BTN01 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Enter a 12 character abbreviated title for this menu. This title remains in effect for all 96 of menu options in the current menu. If this option is left empty, no title will appear on the menu button list when the F10 key is pressed. TTL01 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Enter up to 50 characters to be displayed as the title for this menu. This title remains in effect for all 96 of menu options in the current menu. If this option is left empty, no title will appear at the top of the SYSTEM MASTER display for this menu. PAD01 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The PadText field is used to title the 6 horizontal menu positions which appear above each of the menu boxes. If this option is left empty, no title will appear above the menu box during option selection. The PadText field is 10 characters long. OPT01 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The OptionText field is the display string which appears inside the menu box to describe the menu option that is defined there. This field may be left empty, but should be defined wherever possible. The OptionText Field is 24 characters long. CMD01 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Enter DOS, Batch or SYSTEM MASTER commands here. When Selected, SYSTEM MASTER will process them in the order presented. There are 19 Command lines available. Each command line is 40 characters long. There is a maximum of 255 characters allowed per command definition set. There is a maximum of 255 command lines allowed per command definition set. Only 19 are available per menu option. (See the [I], [M] & [X] SYSTEM MASTER command descriptions in your manual. MAK01 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This Option allows you to add a menu option to the menu box at the current selection bar location. The new menu option is appended to the end of the current list of menu options. MAK02 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This option allows you to make changes to the menu option at the current selection bar location. If no menu option exists an error message is displayed. MAK03 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This Option allows you to add a menu option to the menu box at the current selection bar location. The new menu option is inserted at the current selection bar location with the existing options being pushed down 1 position in the option list. MAK04 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This option removes the menu option at the current selection bar location from the menu option list. The Option buffer is left unchanged, and no recovery of the deleted menu option is possible. A Verify Action Prompt is Displayed. MAK05 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This option cuts the menu option at the selection bar location into a menu option buffer for later pasting into a different location. The menu option is deleted from the option list. If another option is cut before the currently buffered menu option is pasted, the buffered menu option is overwritten by the newly cut menu option. MAK06 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This option copies the menu option at the selection bar location into a menu option buffer for later pasting into a different location. The menu option is NOT deleted from the option list, and remains active. If another option is copied before the currently buffered menu option is pasted, the buffered menu option is overwritten by the newly copied menu option. MAK07 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This option pastes the contents of the menu option buffer at the location of the hilited selection bar. Multiple pastes can be made, as long as the buffer is not modified by a cut or copy command. The Pasted menu option is inserted at the current selection bar location with the existing options being pushed down 1 position in the option list. MAK08 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This option removes the menu box, as well as all defined menu options within the menu box at the current selection bar location. When a path is selected the appropriate text string is written to the command line. SCT03 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This Option allows you to select a program file from a list of available program files from the target drive\path. When a program is selected the appropriate text string is written to the command line. SCT04 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This Option allows you to select a file from a list of all files located on the target drive\path. When a file is selected the appropriate text string is written to the command line. SCT05 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This Option allows you to select a SYSTEM MASTER command from a list of available commands. When a SYSTEM MASTER command is selected the appropriate text string is written to the command line. When a DOS command is selected the appropriate text string is written to the command line. UPA31 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This Option Exits you from the User Profile Editor. The <ESC> key allows you to exit also. UPB11 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This Option allows you to make changes to the currently displayed User Profile. UPB12 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This option allows you to create a duplicate record of the currently displayed User Profile record for later modification to a NEW User Profile record. UPB13 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This option allows you to delete the currently displayed User Profile record. If the currently displayed record is the only record in the User Profile list, you will NOT be alloed to delete the record. UPB21 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This option displays the first record in the User Profile list. UPB31 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This option displays the next record in the User Profile list. If the displayed record is the last record in the User Profile list, an error messageis displayed. UPB41 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This option displays the previous record in the User Profile list. If the displayed record is the first record in the User Profile list, an error message is displayed. UPB51 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This option displays the last record in the User Profile list. UPB61 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This option moves upward in the User Profile list by 10 records. If less than 10 records remain, the last record is displayed. If the displayed record is the last in the User Profile list an error message is displayed. UPB71 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This option moves downward in the User Profile list by 10 records. If less than 10 records remain, the first record is displayed. If the displayed record is the first in the User Profile list an error message is displayed. If a break-out sequence is to be defined, it MUST be defined in the command set ahead of the timer operation it will control. The 2 parameters are calculated as real numbers, and may be assigned directly or collected with the [?] command. When calculating input parameters, SYSTEM MASTER automatically begins with 1 and increments a parameter counter for each Calculate command encountered up to a maximum of 9. Command operators are: * mult, / div, + add, - sub SMC03 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [D] Timed Delay Format: [D] n The "Delay" command forces SYSTEM MASTER to delay for 'n'/10 th's of a second. SMC04 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [E] Echo string to display Format: [E] Message to be displayed The "Echo Message" command allows you to display a message onto the DOS screen as batch commands are being processed. The "Include Option" command allows you to 'Include' other menu op- tion command sets into the selected menu option command set. You can create menu sub-options in various locations around the SYSTEM MASTER shell, and then have SYSTEM MASTER collect those sub- options at run time, and execute them as if the commands were located within the selected option. SMC06 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [J] Jump to Menu Option Format: [J] nnnnnn Exampl: [J] 157404 The "Jump" command allows you to 'Jump' from the selected menu option to another menu option anywhere within the SYSTEM MASTER shell. If the target menu option does not exist, SYSTEM MASTER will create all of the necessary data files. The target menu file is then loaded and the selection bar is positioned on the target menu option. This command can be used ONLY for internal menu jumps, and should be used in a command set by itself. SMC07 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [L] Load SYSTEM MASTER and Jump to Menu Option Format: [L] Reload SM and reposition the menu selection bar to Level 1, Menu 1, Box 1, Option 1. Format: [L] C Reload SM and reposition the menu selection bar to the 'Calling' menu option. Format: [L] 157404 Reload SM and reposition the menu selection bar in menu level 15, menu 7 on Menu box 4, Option 4. The "Load & Jump" command is used at the end of a command set to re- load SYSTEM MASTER after command processing in DOS has terminated. SMC08 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [M] Multiple Execution Format: [M] n1 n2 The "Multiple Execution" command allows you to process the 'n1' fol- lowing command lines, 'n2' times. The 'n1' & 'n2' parameters must be single digit integers in the range of 1..9. Multiple execution of [I] nnnnnn include commands is supported al- though this practice can use up command space very quickly. SMC09 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [P] Pause for Keystroke Format: [P] The "Pause" command forces SYSTEM MASTER to pause until the user presses a key. A "Press Any Key to Continue..." message is automatically displayed. SMC10 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [R] Execute in Resident Mode Format: [R] D command dir c:\ /p Format: [R] N command format a: /n:9 /t:40 The "Resident" command causes SYSTEM MASTER to remain resident in sys- tem memory during command execution. Refer to your SYSTEM MASTER manual for DOS commands which can be exe- cuted using the 'D' parameter. Your command will be executed providing sufficient system memory remains free for the task SMC11 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [T] Define Timed Operation Sequence Format: [T] time hh:mm:ss Format: [T] time date hh:mm:ss mm/dd/yy The "Set Timer" command allows you to execute option(s) and commands at any time of the day or night unattended. Only 1 timer operation may be defined within any given menu option. If a command set containing a timer operation contains any [I] in- structions, the 'I'ncluded command sets may NOT contain additional timer operations. You can, although, terminate a menu selection with the SYSTEM MASTER '[X]' command to 'Chain' and 'Execute' additional menu options that contain timer operations. SMC14 SYSTEM MASTER Hard Disk Manager On-Line HELP... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [X] Execute a Menu Option Format: [X] nnnnnn {011101} The "Load & Execute" command is used at the end of a command set to reload SYSTEM MASTER and Execute a specified menu option, after cur- rent command processing in DOS terminates. Specifying the '[X]' command reloads SYSTEM MASTER but does NOT dis- play the system master screen. SYSTEM MASTER only loads the command definitions, and then executes the specified menu option.
