  3. registration form will be returned to you and will contain your personal serial
  4. number.

  39. Release 6.0b corrects the configuration problems that surfaced with the
  40. orginial 6.0 release of SHEZ.  The external CFG file is now correctly saved,
  41. the serial number is not reset when you reconfigure SHEZ, and the editor
  42. parameters are now correctly saved.
  43.  
  44. I also ran into a problem when trying to run the ARJ compression program when
  45. SHEZ is configured to handle a large number of files.  In order to
  46. "get around" this problem, SHEZ will now look at the amount of memory
  47. available to run ARJ.  If there is less than 325K SHEZ will automatically use
  48. it's memory swapping feature to free up enough memory to allow ARJ to run.
  49. On the opening screen in the window that contains the serial number is a
  50. display indicating the amount of free memory to run other programs.  If you do
  51. not want SHEZ to use memory swapping make sure your configuration leaves at
  52. least 325K available.

  54. The size and format of the external configuration file has been changed
  55. for version 6.0 of SHEZ.  If you are running version 5.8 or 5.9 of SHEZ
  56. and you have an external configuration file, you can convert it using
  57. the CVTCFG.COM program included in the archive.  Simply run the CVTCFG
  58. program and follow the prompts.  The CVTCFG program WILL NOT allow you
  59. to set some of the new options that have been included in the
  60. configuration program.  If you want to set the new options, run the
  61. SHEZCFG program after converting your external configuration file.  The
  62. SHEZCFG program will now allow you to modify you external configuration
  63. file as well as the SHEZ program itself.

  83. Effective 11/25/89 The Directory Assistance BBS has graciously allowed me
  84. to use their BBS as the main distribution point for SHEZ.  I will
  85. personally upload the most current version of SHEZ to this BBS. In addition
  86. Jim the SYSOP has also set up a seperate SHEZ conference on the BBS.  If
  87. you need help with SHEZ or what to leave me some questions or suggestions,
  88. please use the SHEZ conference on this BBS.  Using this method will get the
  89. fastest response.

  103. Support can be obtained in two ways.  If you have access to CSERVE please
  104. send your questions to me via Easyplex.  (type go easy at the Cserve
  105. prompt) My userid is 76266,2634. This is the perfered method, I check for
  106. mail twice a week and will get back to you with an answer usually within a
  107. week.  If you do not have access to CSERVE send a note, letter, postcard to
  108. the address show above.  Register users have priority but I will try to
  109. help anyone in need.
